Director of Safety and Loss Control (Austin)
Professional Contract Services, Inc. (PCSI) has an immediate opening for an experienced Director of Safety and Loss Control. Professional Contract Services, Inc. (PCSI) is a non-profit Ability One employer for Federal and State services. We currently employ people in Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado with planned expansion to Washington State and Virginia. Widely varied activities include food services, administration, vehicle maintenance and operations, hospital housekeeping, warehousing, facilities maintenance, grounds maintenance and custodial services.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or be able to demonstrate year-for-year equivalent experience in occupational safety, science, engineering, or a related field. Duties include:
- Safety program management at the corporate level
- OSHA recordkeeping for all activities
- Employee training
- Facility and equipment inspections at all job sites
- Data base management for risk management and loss control
Duties will also require:
- Overnight travel nationwide of 50%
- Extensive use of a personal computer
- Commercial property and casualty claims management
- Close coordination with insurance carries on matters involving claims
- Employer representative at workers compensation proceeding
- OSHA recordkeeping for all job sites
- Management of the safety intranet web site
- Statistical tracking and reporting
Desirable certification/designations include CSP, ARM, CRM, CIH or PE

Professional Contract Services, Inc. (PCSI), has an immediate opening for a Technical Writer at our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX.
This individual will be responsible for supporting our business development department by Reviewing complex solicitations and preparing specialized and/or routine to non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications. This individual will also analyze significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure. Must provide proof of past performance. Must be able to promote a positive work environment.
Requirements:
• 5-7 years experience is desirable
• Must have comprehensive contracting knowledge of typical practices, procedures and processed involved with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), and other applicable government regulations in contract administration.
• Must have hands-on experience with government’s agencies.
• Effective administrative, negotiation, computer, organizational and communication skills are a must.
• Candidate must be a team player and able to work effectively under deadline.
• Working experience with the Ability One Program is desired.
• Ability to work well independently and as a team.
• Highly Organized with the Ability to Multi-task
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Bachelor's degree required
