This position produces billings for certain clients whose billing is complex and/or is large volume, for partners, handling routine functions, and file maintenance.

Obtain DBR printouts and reports from the accounting department for specific billing partners.

Determine which matters are to be billed each month, according to department and client guidelines.

Create pre-edited draft bills for clients which require text bills and give to attorneys for preliminary review.

Distribute DBRs and draft bills to attorneys for review. Maintain control lists of open cases including information regarding person who will review each matter.

Make text corrections to draft bills, execute transfers, and coordinate with accounting for the production of spreadsheet / cover sheets if required by a specific client’s billing instructions.

Obtain from billing files and accounting department any back-up documentation required by client.

Prepare the bills in final form for approval by partners. Arrange bills for copying, mail and distribution.

Maintain billing files. Prepare closed files for storage.

Assist with special client-related projects as assigned.

Process vendor invoices for payment as billable expenses for clients to whom analyst is assigned.

Requirements:
High School Diploma
Associates degree preferred
At least two years of billing related or accounting experience
Experience in computer word processing, data entry, and Microsoft Excel
