Newborn Hospital Photographer and Site Manager, Part Time (Bakersfield, CA)

WelcomeNewborn has the best part-time job for you! We have an opening for a Part-time Photographer and Site Manager at Bakersfield Memorial and Mercy Southwest Hospitals.

As a newborn photographer you will capture each baby’s first portrait and present/sell photo packages and birth announcements. As the site manager you will be responsible for scheduling the photographers’ shifts and all communications with hospital staff and photographers. You will also be in charge of ordering supplies.
This opening is for 3 mornings a week: Saturdays, Sundays and one weekday morning (to be determined). Shifts last about 3-4 hours depending on how many babies are born and how busy you are. Shifts start at 8:00 am and typically go until 12 noon.

Compensation:
• Hourly rate starts at $8/hour and will be raised to $10/hour after 6 months.
• 10% commission on all sales (the average photo package sells for $50.00)
• Compensation also includes a monthly manager’s stipend of $25.00/month.

Job Requirements:
• The ability to manage others;
• The ability to work comfortably with newborn babies and mothers;
• Exceptional communication skills and a professional presence;
• Sales and Photography experience preferred;
• Maturity, drive, and confidence;
• PC/Computer keyboarding skills;
• Bilingual abilities are a plus (Spanish)
