FIRE AGATE PENDANTS IN STERLING SILVER

This one of a kind FIRE AGATE PENDANT is just completely off the hook!!! Intense rolling fire in all the most sought after colors BLUE, RED, PURPLE, YELLOW, GREEN, AND COPPER.
The color play moves and changes color on this FIRE AGATE PENDANT as you move around. Just totally AWESOME !! Rolling multi color orbs completely across the top and a beautiful and rare changing rainbow color cloud in the center of the stone. There are no dead spots in this stone, it is all alive with fire.
I cut this FIRE AGATE in a unique freeform oval that measures 22mm x 14mm x 6mm thick and weighs 14.95 carats. The rough from which this stone was cut comes from Aguascalientes, Mexico. The simplified explanation as to where the fire in these stones comes from is the formation of layers of iron oxide and silica in chalcedony.
The overall dimensions of this pendant are 25mm x 33mm and 42" of STERLING SILVER wire was used in fabrication of the custom setting.
Design and fabrication done right here in Bakersfield by local Lapidary Artist.
Fire Agates and Opal are THE most difficult stones to photograph. Nevertheless I gave it my best shot. These photos do not capture the depth and breadth of this stones' beauty. I took these photos from several different angles to try and capture the rolling of the fire. This stone is much more intense in the sunlight and in person .

This is the current (2000) incarnation of the Navigator's Wristwatch.  It follows a long line of so called Navigator's watches from .  The first thing that people notice is the composite/fiberglass case of this watch.  Many inquire why this is not steel like its predecessors.  Quite simply, today's composite materials are lighter, stronger and easier to mold than steel.  These watches were never designed to make a fashion statement.  They were designed for one purpose and one purpose only, and that is to provide a rugged and functional timepiece for military personnel.  One wearing is all it takes to understand the beauty of the space age superstructure of this watch.  It's light and after a moment or two, the wearer forgets it is even being worn. 

Despite it's no nonsense and strict utilitarian approach to design, the watch still looks elegant because of an all black construction.  As a milwatch collector, I find it quite striking in its own way.
Many will decry its quartz movement.  Once again, this watch was never built for the civilian consumer.  This is a watch that was built for a service life of 5 to 10 years, after which time the watch could be tossed out and replaced.  Not every one is going to put the rigorous demand on this watch that it was designed for.  Quite conceivably, it could last a lifetime with a modicum of nurturing and care.  I have seen mint examples of era disposable watches that were never supposed to last past a soldier's tour of duty.  Yet, there they are, and running quite well I might add.

This stone has reminded me why they call it MEXICAN FIRE OPAL. That rich orangey red/yellow color is hard to find. It is neon like! Phenomenal to say the least.

Extreme care was taken in cutting this 12mm x 8mm x 3mm stone. Beautiful mirror like finish on this perfectly proportioned oval stone.

Expertly wire wrapped in STERLING SILVER , giving this pendant that elegant old style appeal. Measuring 33mm overall from top of bail to bottom of pendant and 12mm in overall width.

As is the case with all my listings this pendant was HANDMADE by me. From cutting and polishing the rough gemstone, to the wire work in STERLING SILVER WIRE it never left my hands.

Amazing MEXICAN FIRE OPAL PENDANT. Wire wrapped with STERLING SILVER in a classical style.

This MEXICAN FIRE OPAL weighs just under 2 carats at 1.95 carats. Cut in a beautiful pear shape.

The stone measures 11mm x 7mm x 5mm at its widest points and is of the crystal variety with a light orange base color.

The color play in this stone is very bright and displays vertical and horizontal striations of red, green and yellow fire.

The overall dimensions of this pendant from the top of bail to bottom of pendant are 29mm and 10mm wide.

This one of a kind FIRE AGATE PENDANT is just completely off the hook!!! Intense rolling fire in all the most sought after colors BLUE, RED, PURPLE, YELLOW, GREEN, AND COPPER.
The color play moves and changes color on this FIRE AGATE PENDANT as you move around. Just totally AWESOME !! Rolling multi color orbs completely across the top and a beautiful and rare changing rainbow color cloud in the center of the stone. There are no dead spots in this stone, it is all alive with fire.
I cut this FIRE AGATE in a unique freeform oval that measures 22mm x 14mm x 6mm thick and weighs 14.95 carats. The rough from which this stone was cut comes from Aguascalientes, Mexico. The simplified explanation as to where the fire in these stones comes from is the formation of layers of iron oxide and silica in chalcedony.
The overall dimensions of this pendant are 25mm x 33mm and 42" of STERLING SILVER wire was used in fabrication of the custom setting.
Design and fabrication done right here in Bakersfield by local Lapidary Artist.
Fire Agates and Opal are THE most difficult stones to photograph. Nevertheless I gave it my best shot. These photos do not capture the depth and breadth of this stones' beauty. I took these photos from several different angles to try and capture the rolling of the fire. This stone is much more intense in the sunlight and in person .
