I am a female Math Teacher that has been Tutoring Math since 1999. Because of my experience I am able to offer many services to fit a wide variety of student abilities. I have worked with students dealing with dyslexia, ADD (attention deficit disorder), and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). I am not an expert in any of these disorders, but I am able to teach them ways to stay organized so that they are able to succeed in their math classes. Pitching Lessons (Bakersfield)

Professional Pitching Lessons

To start things off my name is Nick Carr and I Play professional baseball for the New York Mets. I am going on my 5th year in the organization and I have been a top pitching prospect since 2006 when I signed. I am ready to share all the information and knowledge I have attained over the years to help develope each and everyone of you into the the best pitchers you can be. Not only will we work on the physical part of the game, we will also work on sharpening your skills on the mental side of the game as well.
Starting from the ground up we will begin with the delivery. As I know each and every pitcher is different and unique and not every pitcher is the same. The goal is not to make you into a mechanical pitching robot but the goal is to refine the skills you already obtain and take your game to the next level. Being able to repeat your delivery over and over again where it becomes second nature is key to becoming successful. We will work on simplifying the delivery to make it easier to be more consistant and be able to throw strikes at a more consistant rate. As you move up the ladder in your careers consistancy will make or break you.
Once the delivery and fundamentals are sound I can begin to give pointers on how to increase the movement and velocity of your fastball but also how to increase the movement and sharpness of your breaking stuff. As a power pitcher I have thrown up to a 100 mph out of the bullpen and I know what it takes to build up arm strength to increase velocity. Velocity comes with time and practice. However with the proper mechanics in your delivery and getting it in sync anything can happen. Learning how to use your entire body to maximize results is the goal.
Last but not least arm care is very important. I will give pointers and advice on how to take and maintain your body and your arm. A throwing program will be incorporated into each lesson before even stepping foot on the mound. Things such as long toss to build arm strength and flat ground work to sharpen skills. I will also demonstrate shoulder excersizes which can be done on your own to help develope and maintain arm strength and stability in your shoulder.
Lessons will be $35.00 an hour and breaks will be given determining the amount of lessons you take.
