The artist will need to:
1. Meet with me to discuss my ideas and add their contributions
2. Create sketches of the dress which incorporate my desires but also ensure that the dress can be worn comfortably, that it is durable, practical, and will be well-fitted.
3. Create a pattern for the dress
4. Possibly shop with me to find the material, or at least point me in the right direction to find and purchase quality and reasonably priced material.
5. Create the dress, doing multiple fittings (at least 4 over an 8 month period) with a final fitting during the first week of October, 2010.
The artist would be responsible for:
1. Producing a dress that is very much like the rendering we decide upon during our initial meetings
2. Producing a dress that is free from stains, tears, rips, and free from the smell of cigarette, incense, and other smoke (or any other smells such as strong spices), etc
3. Producing the dress on time.
4. Producing a dress that fits well, is well crafted
The artist would also garner, in addition to payment:
1. Pictures of a beautiful and well made dress to add to their portfolio
2. A stunning reference, writing by moi
The artist will need to live within a 3 hour driving distance of Baltimore, MD.
The duties and responsibilities of both me and the artist will be written into a contract that we will both approve and sign.
