Atomic Mobile Detailing is an area leader in high quality, automotive detailing and reconditioning. We specialize in vehicle surface restoration including scratch and swirl removal from clearcoat and single stage paint systems most commonly found on most vehicles today.

These scratches and swirls are the result of several conditions:
1) Vehicle washing through an automated car wash system (brushed or brushless). These systems often use a high concentration of chemical detergents to remove stubborn dirt from some vehicles, which in turn, also removes wax and grinds dirt particles across the paint.
2) Vehicle washing through a high volume, hand wash system. This is because they use the same wash mitts and towels over and over again, without cleaning them in between cars.
3) Improper home washing and drying
4) Improper use or a high speed polisher or similar device

Our process is a true scratch and swirl removal process. We use a compound and polishing process in combination with various pads to permanently remove these defects from the paint, leaving behind a smooth, high gloss surface that does not wash away.

The Truth About Glaze
Other detail companies employ the use of a “GLAZE" to fill in scratches and swirls. While glaze does have its place in express and wholesale vehicle detailing, its use as a “true"‚ scratch removal process is deceitful. After a month or two of car washing, the scratches will return, and you will have been cheated of your hard earned money.

Below are some photos of our scratch and swirl removal process. In some of these photos, you will see before, during and after shoots of the work. Keep in mind that the after photos where taken before the application of wax. This is to demonstrate that no “GLAZE" or fillers where used on the paint and that the surface you are looking at if the actual paint surface.
