I won't go on and on and on about how thorough bred these camera's are. I will tell you some secrets however.

The hv30 has a love affair with lights, especially Arri lights if you can acquire some. The definition just explodes when a scene is properly lit. And yes ...light your scenes outside too, even if you use only a reflector board on the actors faces. And use the matte box - YES the matte box is included, so use it.

On the day of our shoot, and to our horror - the sound guy turned up with XLR microphones. After some test sound bites, he discarded the Beachtek and we used a direct plug in Audio Technica shotgun mic on a boom pole. The same critical microphone I am including with my camera. Believe me, you won't be disappointed.

Finally I have a neat travel bag that will hold the canon snug and safe along with tapes and remote (the remote on the crawl zoom setting is an absolute life saver btw) for location shoots.

Lens Body Condition: I’m the second owner and I’ve had it for about a year and I received it in the condition it’s in now. The focus ring is slightly loose but it’s definitely nothing to be worried about. There is a rub mark on the depth scale; and two scuff marks, one on the “ultrasonic” label and one on the “diffractive optics” label. IS works perfect and you can hear it working, but its nothing too loud. You can get about 3-stops handholding it and i was able to get shutter speeds of 1/30th @ 300mm w/ some decents pics. Focus is fast in bright to normal lighting but in low light its slow or it'll hunt.

Lens Glass Condition: flawless, absolutely perfect and takes absolutely fantastic pictures (w/ some PP)

Sale Includes: original box, original hood, canon pouch, lens cap, and rear cap. I’ll also include a lenscoat that prevents lens creep (see last pic)
