I worked there for about 3 months in Spring & Summer. Worst job ever! Tina, the GM, is this enormous obese woman who takes this out on the employees. She has a few favorites she likes (if you're new, you won't be one of them) and the rest of the staff can go to hell for all she cares. Meanest person I've ever worked for, hands down. Am in grad school now, at a better place in life, but still everytime I think back on that job I am mortified. Henry was also pretty terrible. Sort of retarded, but not afraid to try to play the boss (even though he is tiny, like 5'5" at most). The hours are pretty long and the working environment depressing. After you've been there a while you will get more than 3-4 tables, so you eventually will make $100 or so on weekend shifts. During the week, good luck with that, LOL. Same thing for the lunch shifts they'll give you. Most likely you'll have 2-3 tables and walk with $20. If you want money, apply at Tir Na Nog or other restaurants with better locations, e.g. Cheesecake Factory or Hard Rock. If you want to work for a good restaurant with great food (Sullivan's actually does have some good food)try Cienghiale, Charleston, or Pazo. Sullivan's is just not worth it--ever wonder why they're constantly posting ads on here? Think about it. Except for Tina's favorite few sycophants, no one lasts more than a few months.

Comedy Club Needs Food Runner/Door Man (Carney, MD)
Magoobys Joke House located at 9306 Harford Road in Parkville, MD is looking for a Door Man. Our Door Men are responsible for three things:
Greeting and seating customers
Running food to tables
Helping the bartender through the shows (bar-backing)
No prior experience is needed, however you must be able to move quickly, think fast and be cordial to customers. You must be 18 years old or over and have reliable transportation. We have shows Friday and Saturday every week. We have 1-3 Thursday shows a month and 1 Sunday show a month. Shifts typically start as early as 5:30pm and end as late as 1:30am. Transport dirty linen to correct area to be cleaned, separate napkins from tablecloths, and restock linen shelves with clean linens. Get over it, Sullivan's wants people to look good when they are serving guests. For the record, I helped open Sullivan's and worked there for about three months. It was absolutely miserable. The manager, Tina, is one of the worst humans I have ever met. Henry is her lapdog. Ever since the assistant GM, Epi, left to go back to Arizona, Sullivan's is a miserable place to work. The money is lousy and management will not take care of you anyway. Stop complaining because they won't hire you. Yea they go for a certain look to maintain the image but honestly the company is terrible to work for. Or it's Tina that's terrible to work for. No wonder out of the more than 150 employees that opened the restaurant, less than 15 remain only 11 months later. The worst turnover rate in the entire chain, and that's a fact. There's a reason Sullivan's has a new posting for servers every few weeks. Because in the two weeks it takes to hire and train, the new hires realize how awful it is there. So quit crying about it. You're not missing out on anything anyway. Except the food, because it truly is outstanding.
