We are looking for the right individual to help provide a safe and happy environment for the dogs in our care. This is an environment where strict cleaning, exercise and structured play sessions promote good behaviour and interaction. A candidate seeking employment in the pet care industry would be preferred, but a person with customer service experience, self motivation and of course a love for animals is mandatory. This is a challenging position that emphasizes the health and well being of the dogs in your charge. You will be helping owners make life decisions for their dogs by offering experienced and professional daycare and boarding services, as well as advice on training and diet choices.

· Qualifications:
We are seeking mature, self-motivated candidates capable of managing their time. Candidates with customer service experience are preferred.

This opportunity is suitable for a self-motivated worker; for the majority of the work hours your time will be spent outside with dogs in all types of weather, and cleaning the facility. Contact with customers is primarily during drop off and pick up times, where you will be discussing the client’s needs and taking care of the financial transactions. This position requires the ability to think quickly and act appropriately in stressful situations. Position is 32 to 40 hours per week, and is scheduled to cover various shifts (starting as early as 6:30 am, other shifts ending as late as 10 pm).

· Able to work in all weather conditions
· Able to work in solitary conditions
· Flexible hours, shift work including split shifts and weekends
· Able to communicate clearly with both staff and clients
· Physical strength to walk and manage dogs, as well as for cleaning
· Learn to effectively handle all types of dog behaviours
· Learn to manage play groups
· Light computer duties such as e-mail, Word and Excel duties
· Ability to handle payment transactions with debit machine, close out daily cash drawer, etc.
· Excellent customer service on the phone with the ability to explain our policies, protocols, products and services to potential new clients
