Littering in S'port (Shreveport)

Listen, fellow residents of Shreveport. I know global warming/the environment in general has been a point of contention on this board, but I am getting really tired of watching helplessly as other drivers throw trash out their car windows.

What you do in your car/house etc. is your business, but once you bring it out on the street, it's everyone's business.

Even if you don't give two shits about the environment, I think we can all agree that we don't want Shreveport to look like a crappy dump. Some streets are worse than others, for sure. But we're not a big city--we don't have street sweepers to come by and clean up after us. A few crappy people make the rest of us look like lazy slobs who can't wait 15 minutes to get to an actual garbage can. Keep your Big Gulp cups and fast food wrappers in your car until you can throw them out the proper way.

Saw the video and again another wing nut trying to prove an invalid point. What's the coincidence of 3 buildings falling on the same day? DUH airplanes crashing into them and the resulting fire! Fire if hot enough can warp and melt steel and burning jet fuel will do the trick if in enough quantity and confined like on 9/11. Once one floor goes it’s like a house of cards a chain reaction occurs and down comes the building. I watched this live 9 years ago with a structural engineer who built buildings just like the ones that fell. Before anyone thought about them coming down he told me if they did not get the fire under control soon the buildings would collapse because the heat would warp and bend the walls and girders supporting the floors. This is a person who has designed and built sky scrapers for a living and had to put his name on the finished product so I think he knows his stuff. For the less educated this could seem like some conspiracy but that is just a factor of being ignorant of building construction techniques. NEXT?

Well obviously everyone seems to think this is between just 2 people. Since I have not posted anything since around 6 yesterday evening, it is clear that it is between alot more than that. I see someone got a few of the names correct though. Since I am now being called a geek and a sneak for simply using things like google to look things up ( soomething I find hilarious), and since everyone thinks I am "chicken shit" for not going to the police with basic information, let me clear some things up. Frank criminal record because I live in the city he lived in before he fled California and moved to bossier, louisiana 3 1/2 years ago . He was also very proud of the fact that he made threats on here and told everyone here and on emails that he would gladly meet them to confront them. The guy is a douche in the first order. Lucky for me, my job revolves around and with the internet, servers, FDP's and the like. I am afforded the luxury of being paid to be online for the majority of my time. This also affords me quite an abundance of time do perform searches. I agree with the Kerry Allison comment. She does not exist except on a newly created Myspace account on the 14th of March. As far as the person "she" was referring to. I have mounds of info. Even a copy of an obit, he would know about. Contained alot of information on it too. Again this was public and on the internet for all to see. He has emailed me and with a simple pay search site I was able to find out even more...phone numbers etc. Again, perfectly legal. I do not know if anything that was said about him is true or not. If he was arrested it would be easily searched though. Arrest records are public information as well and there for your safety. to search, as are list of sex offenders in any area you wish to look. All with pics of the perps and aliases they have used. Ecerything is out there for anyone to find. And it is free for the most part and LEGAL. I suspect this Kerry individual of being the person "she" was posting the info about. I suspect too, that "she" sent out those emails to everyone in the hopes of gaining trust in someone and getting their email addresses so they could be searched. I suggest not writing her back until she can actually prove who she/he is. Personally I think KA and RDF are one in the same.

I have been watching this board for a while now. Yes, there have been threats made. Yes, the one everyone speaks of is lacking in the brains department. Yes, he also put posts out there admitting who he was, and proud of it as I remember. What he should know is, if all of his profiles are public or on free sites, then posting anything about him on here is not against the rules or the law. He sent emails to several on here saying he would meet them anywhere to confront them. He even had someone on here post an email from him with threats on it. The guy deserves what he gets. The word "permission" does not actually mean that the person gives a blessing in words. The mere fact that his information is not marked as private or is not hidden from the public is permission in itself. Not marking it as private or hiding it from public view is permission. Public is public. Private is private. If he did not want anyone knowing anything about his self, then he would not have sent out emails with threats. He would have kept his information secure. Myspace has a simple click to mark profile as private. If you do not want your name shown, then don't put your name on the profile where everyone can see it. Don't profess yourself on rant and rave if you don't want anyone to know. Don't use an email address with your name in it. Don't name your computer your own name. All of this information appears when you email someone. Very easy to trace after that and perfectly legal to do so. It is lawful, and smart if you are being threatened. If you get a threat in an email, copy and paste the email to yourself and save it. Might come in handy one day. Plain and simple fact, if you want to remain private, you can, if not, it is your own damn fault and stupidity. Searching for information on someone is not against the law either. It is everyones right to do so.

ha ha ha gotcha!!! (this town or any other)

I spotted a person that looked familar and I stopped her to say, "hello" after about 10 seconds I knew that she was not the person I thought she was. However, we were both lonely and hungry and being near a great
restaurant we both agreed to have dinner together.

The conversation was great, free flowing, fun and I started to wonder where have you been all my life. After 2 and half hours, a bottle of wine and great steaks we decided to leave. The check comes and she assumes that I will pay. She did not offer to help or split it, inquire to the total and she didn't even offer to leave the tip.
We started to exit the restaurant and she informs me that she needs a ride since she missed her car pool. She offers to take me to a secret spot just outside the city. I start to wonder where this might lead and the wine in me said OK.

We drove about 14 minutes outside of the city and went down a small dirt road. When we hit a clearing that had a great view of the city lights. We started to kiss and then things start to get hot and before they can get heavy she says STOP - I forgot to tell you "I am a professional and get paid to do this it will be 100.00 dollars." I wanted to ask her if I could deduct the dinner I just paid for but I was ready to go so I just reached into my wallet and gave her the hundred. Well we got busy and I must say that it was well worth it.

I lit up a blunt and she complained about the smell and asked if we could go because she had another appointment to keep.
I said sure but I forgot to tell you that I am a taxi driver, my shift has started and it will 175.00 dollars to get back to town. aaahhhh what a night!!

Yeah I know how to search the email addresses. I pay on a site to do just that. I can look up all kinds of info...adressess..phone numbers, pics, websites, aliases etc...and the best thing is, it is all legal. All of the info is public information anyway. Just have to know who to look it up. The person they are referring to likes to say it violates his rights and such, but it does not. His Myspace, Facebook, Plenty of Fish profiles and more are not private. If it is on the internet, it is free for anyone to see. I agree that something must be true about all that has been said about him. At one point he said to everyone on here, that none of the profiles were real...that we knew nothing about him, that we were all wrong and that was not his name. Funny how when he is confronted directly about it though he is all defensive then...lol. If anyone truly needs this info for the police here or in California please contact me. Do it soon as he will again flag these posts because he is scared and knows everyone is on to him. I can give you all the goods on him though.

If you want a lot of information about people, sometimes you can put in emails or user names on pipl.com or peoplefinders.com. Sometimes you can take an email, drop the end and google the first part of the name, or put it in pipl as a user name. (Instead of JaneDoe64512@whatever.com, type in janedoe64512) I like to cross check things to get more accurate results. It doesn't always work if someone hasn't used a certain email address very much.

Healthcare facts (DC) (Shreveport)

This summer, Congressman John Dingell from Michigan introduced H.R. 3200, "America's Affordable Health Choices Act" to reform our health care system. H.R. 3200 included an expansion of single-payer health care called the "public option." This plan would undoubtedly increase the role of government in health care, further infringing upon the critical relationship between a patient and his or her physician.



Independent analysts estimate that under some of these proposals as many as 120 million Americans could lose their private health insurance and be required to join the government plan. This new "public option" will be administered much like the budget-plagued Medicaid plan; funds will quickly dry up and government bureaucrats will begin to make decisions about how to spend money within the system. Health care rationing may become a real prospect, with many patients denied coverage because treating their condition is not deemed to be worth the expense.



Furthermore, H.R. 3200 carried a tremendous price tag. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated that H.R. 3200 may cost $1 trillion. Other independent analysts put the cost estimates at $3 to 4 trillion. The government will be forced to raise funds by levying taxes on employer health benefits, income, consumer purchases, charitable contributions, and even sugary drinks. This bill was amended in the House Committees on Ways and Means, Energy and Commerce, and Education and Labor.



Then, on October 29, 2009, Congressman John Dingell from Michigan introduced H.R. 3962 the "America's Affordable Health Care Act," a bill combining the different versions of H.R. 3200 that emerged after consideration in the three Committees of jurisdiction. H.R. 3962 passed the House on November 10, 2009 by a vote of 220-215 and now awaits consideration by the Senate. I voted against H.R. 3962 because this bill will hurt our nation's economy and health care system.



The CBO estimates that over 10 years, H.R. 3962 will raise $167 billion in taxes based on penalties paid by individuals and employers due to the mandates in the bill. H.R. 3962 would impose surtaxes that would reach $572 billion over that same time period. Furthermore, this bill cuts $426 billion from Medicare, including nursing homes, home health, imaging services, and most health care providers, decreasing access to health care for millions of our seniors. Changes to the health care system may be intended to help lower health care costs, but Americans will pay dearly for these "reforms."



Expanding health care to all Americans is possible without saddling taxpayers and health care providers with new expenses. I co-authored H.R. 3400, "The Empowering Patients First Act," which has many excellent reforms without exploding the budget or destroying the private insurance system. It includes tort reform which will cut waste that currently goes to lawyers living off the fat of the healthcare system. On the other hand, H.R. 3962 includes a new grant program to encourage states to implement alternative medical liability reforms, however, the bill makes states not eligible for the incentive payments if its law limits attorneys' fees or imposes caps on damages?"a key reform recognized by CBO as necessary to reduce defensive medicine.



H.R. 3400 will also expand health coverage to those who need it regardless of pre-existing condition and create subsidies in the form of vouchers or tax-credits to low-income Americans without health insurance. Individuals and small businesses will be able to join together to purchase affordable insurance on the private market. Young, healthy Americans will be incentivized to buy insurance to help keep costs down for everyone. These reforms will expand coverage to those who need it without expanding an already bloated and inefficient bureaucracy.

Healthcare (from someone who lived across the pond) (BAFB)

As a liberal (more or less) and someone originally from the UK who’s experienced the NHS at direct and painful firsthand, I can only say, Don’t believe a friggin’ word of it. The NHS is a political shibboleth that noone is allowed to diminish – but it sucks, enormously, and (provided you dont suggest doing away with it), everyone you talk to in the UK will admit it & admit it needs an enormous amount of ‘reform’.

But the biggest problem isnt queueing (indeed, 75% of queueing there could be eliminated with a single speedy action*), its about standards of care. You would – literally! – scream murder and other words, at the care you were given in NHS hospitals … from simple things like having a 4 inch gash in your hand sutured without anaesthetic, to (at its worst) the more complex and lethal creep of necrotising fasciitis & MRSA due to a total inattention to cleanliness.

None of this, of course, makes it into comparative health figures

Oh, and I’m not trying to defend the current appalling US system of health by job lottery, guaranteed to produce a permanent underclass: I’m just saying, what you think you see, isn’t what is actually there, in this case.

• The action? charge a (small) fee to see GPs (family doctors) – because visiting them is free, there is a permanent standing queue to see any doctor, between the hypochondriacs, the overanxious, and the elderly/infirm who seem to regard it as a good excuse for a day out (or possibly a nice warm place to sit for the day & see your friends, I’m not sure).

The result of this is looong delays in meeting appointment times, which in turn adds enormously to delays, frustration, and people choosing not to seek initial assessments (and all the consequent evils of unmedicated problems).

The system will not work here either. It is a farce of smoke and mirrors. You will experience the same disastrous effects as the UK if this passes. It can't be done correctly or fairly no matter how you slice it.

I'll tell you about healthcare (Someone who is in it)

I won't get into the details. Sufice it to say that I was born with an abudance of health problems. I still deal with those problems to this day. I was raised in our healthcare system. I know its short commings. Yes we do need reform. Price control, get rid of lawyers and junk lawsuits, government waste, buying insurance across state lines, etc. What we do not need is a take over of a private system. The free market can and will work it out. Here is but one example. My meds used to cost me over $300 per month. With the price wars I now get them for less than $40 for a 90 day supply. The free market works.

I am not on any form of government asistance. I pay my own way, always have. It is not my governments job to take care of me. That is my job. Healthcare reform yes. Obamacare hell no. Also we do not need any union bosses writting bills that may become the law for all. Andy Stern and SEIU can kiss my ass. You do not now nor will you ever speak for me.

Please allow me to catch you up to speed about life in the 21st century! In the last 10 years or so...

-people with health care coverage have seen their insurance rates increase so dramatically that many families pay at a minimum 25% of their budgets for private insurance.

-people with pre-existing conditions like juvenile diabetes (those that REALLY need to see a doctor regularly and REALLY need prescription coverage) are automatically disqualified from obtaining individual plan insurance coverage

-businesses have drastically stopped providing insurance coverage as a benefit of employment or have drastically increased the employee's portion of these costs

-wages have not increased with inflation, a trend that has continued from the 1970s, and have, within the last 10 years, FALLEN in many sectors especially service sectors

-available jobs have drastically decreased within the last 10 years, meaning that employers can pay increasingly less and less to the American workforce

-hours have been cut so that corporate employers that must provide benefit options to full time employees now hire only part time employees

The good news is that the majority of Americans voted for a president that we love who ran on a platform of health care reform.

The bad news is that his work is being detered by some truly ignorant fools who cannot listen to reason.

Our president wants to offer a public health insurance option that EMPLOYEES WOULD PAY FOR, unlike Medicare and Medicai that poor people are already on.

Our president wants to alieviate the stress on welfare systems by making this option AFFORDABLE and AVAILABLE to anyone, regardless of pre-existing conditions.

Our president wants to add an OPTION TO THE FREE MARKET so that if you like paying $800.00 a month to buy your daughter insullin, you can continue to do so. Or you can pay less for the same coverage with a larger consumer pool through the government insurance option.

When I was younger I once heard an older gentleman say this. When he said it, I thought he was just being mean. Now that I'm older, I see he may have been right.

If you want to solve the problem with crime. Have the police go in and remove the good folks from the bad neighborhoods. Block off those areas. Take all of the confiscated guns and ammo, all of the confiscated drugs, one bucket of chicken and one watermelon. Place them in the middle of the street and let the useless bastards have at it. Shoot the surviors. Then send in the meat wagons to clean up the mess. Crime problem solved.

For example, the southern colonies primarily taxed imports and exports, the middle colonies at times imposed a property tax and a "head" or poll tax levied on each adult male, and the New England colonies raised revenue primarily through general real estate taxes, excises taxes, and taxes based on occupation.

England's need for revenues to pay for its wars against France led it to impose a series of taxes on the American colonies. In 1765, the English Parliament passed the Stamp Act, which was the first tax imposed directly on the American colonies, and then Parliament imposed a tax on tea. Even though colonists were forced to pay these taxes, they lacked representation in the English Parliament. This led to the rallying cry of the American Revolution that "taxation without representation is tyranny" and established a persistent wariness regarding taxation as part of the American culture.

The Post Revolutionary Era

The Articles of Confederation, adopted in 1781, reflected the American fear of a strong central government and so retained much of the political power in the States. The national government had few responsibilities and no nationwide tax system, relying on donations from the States for its revenue. Under the Articles, each State was a sovereign entity and could levy tax as it pleased.

When the Constitution was adopted in 1789, the Founding Fathers recognized that no government could function if it relied entirely on other governments for its resources, thus the Federal Government was granted the authority to raise taxes. The Constitution endowed the Congress with the power to "…lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts, and excises, pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States." Ever on guard against the power of the central government to eclipse that of the states, the collection of the taxes was left as the responsibility of the State governments.

To pay the debts of the Revolutionary War, Congress levied excise taxes on distilled spirits, tobacco and snuff, refined sugar, carriages, property sold at auctions, and various legal documents. Even in the early days of the Republic, however, social purposes influenced what was taxed. For example, Pennsylvania imposed an excise tax on liquor sales partly "to restrain persons in low circumstances from an immoderate use thereof." Additional support for such a targeted tax came from property owners, who hoped thereby to keep their property tax rates low, providing an early example of the political tensions often underlying tax policy decisions.

Though social policies sometimes governed the course of tax policy even in the early days of the Republic, the nature of these policies did not extend either to the collection of taxes so as to equalize incomes and wealth, or for the purpose of redistributing income or wealth. As Thomas Jefferson once wrote regarding the "general Welfare" clause:

To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his father has acquired too much, in order to spare to others who (or whose fathers) have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, "to guarantee to everyone a free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it."
With the establishment of the new nation, the citizens of the various colonies now had proper democratic representation, yet many Americans still opposed and resisted taxes they deemed unfair or improper. In 1794, a group of farmers in southwestern Pennsylvania physically opposed the tax on whiskey, forcing President Washington to send Federal troops to suppress the Whiskey Rebellion, establishing the important precedent that the Federal government was determined to enforce its revenue laws. The Whiskey Rebellion also confirmed, however, that the resistance to unfair or high taxes that led to the Declaration of Independence did not evaporate with the forming of a new, representative government.

During the confrontation with France in the late 1790's, the Federal Government imposed the first direct taxes on the owners of houses, land, slaves, and estates. These taxes are called direct taxes because they are a recurring tax paid directly by the taxpayer to the government based on the value of the item that is the basis for the tax. The issue of direct taxes as opposed to indirect taxes played a crucial role in the evolution of Federal tax policy in the following years. When Thomas Jefferson was elected President in 1802, direct taxes were abolished and for the next 10 years there were no internal revenue taxes other than excises.

To raise money for the War of 1812, Congress imposed additional excise taxes, raised certain customs duties, and raised money by issuing Treasury notes. In 1817 Congress repealed these taxes, and for the next 44 years the Federal Government collected no internal revenue. Instead, the Government received most of its revenue from high customs duties and through the sale of public land.

The Civil War

When the Civil War erupted, the Congress passed the Revenue Act of 1861, which restored earlier excises taxes and imposed a tax on personal incomes. The income tax was levied at 3 percent on all incomes higher than $800 a year. This tax on personal income was a new direction for a Federal tax system based mainly on excise taxes and customs duties. Certain inadequacies of the income tax were quickly acknowledged by Congress and thus none was collected until the following year.

By the spring of 1862 it was clear the war would not end quickly and with the Union's debt growing at the rate of $2 million daily it was equally clear the Federal government would need additional revenues. On July 1, 1862 the Congress passed new excise taxes on such items as playing cards, gunpowder, feathers, telegrams, iron, leather, pianos, yachts, billiard tables, drugs, patent medicines, and whiskey. Many legal documents were also taxed and license fees were collected for almost all professions and trades.

The 1862 law also made important reforms to the Federal income tax that presaged important features of the current tax. For example, a two-tiered rate structure was enacted, with taxable incomes up to $10,000 taxed at a 3 percent rate and higher incomes taxed at 5 percent. A standard deduction of $600 was enacted and a variety of deductions were permitted for such things as rental housing, repairs, losses, and other taxes paid. In addition, to assure timely collection, taxes were "withheld at the source" by employers.

The need for Federal revenue declined sharply after the war and most taxes were repealed. By 1868, the main source of Government revenue derived from liquor and tobacco taxes. The income tax was abolished in 1872. From 1868 to 1913, almost 90 percent of all revenue was collected from the remaining excises.

The 16th Amendment

Under the Constitution, Congress could impose direct taxes only if they were levied in proportion to each State's population. Thus, when a flat rate Federal income tax was enacted in 1894, it was quickly challenged and in 1895 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional because it was a direct tax not apportioned according to the population of each state.

Lacking the revenue from an income tax and with all other forms of internal taxes facing stiff resistance, from 1896 until 1910 the Federal government relied heavily on high tariffs for its revenues. The War Revenue Act of 1899 sought to raise funds for the Spanish-American War through the sale of bonds, taxes on recreational facilities used by workers, and doubled taxes on beer and tobacco. A tax was even imposed on chewing gum. The Act expired in 1902, so that Federal receipts fell from 1.7 percent of Gross Domestic Product to 1.3 percent.

While the War Revenue Act returned to traditional revenue sources following the Supreme Court's 1895 ruling on the income tax, debate on alternative revenue sources remained lively. The nation was becoming increasingly aware that high tariffs and excise taxes were not sound economic policy and often fell disproportionately on the less affluent. Proposals to reinstate the income tax were introduced by Congressmen from agricultural areas whose constituents feared a Federal tax on property, especially on land, as a replacement for the excises.

Eventually, the income tax debate pitted southern and western Members of Congress representing more agricultural and rural areas against the industrial northeast. The debate resulted in an agreement calling for a tax, called an excise tax, to be imposed on business income, and a Constitutional amendment to allow the Federal government to impose tax on individuals' lawful incomes without regard to the population of each State.

By 1913, 36 States had ratified the 16th Amendment to the Constitution. In October, Congress passed a new income tax law with rates beginning at 1 percent and rising to 7 percent for taxpayers with income in excess of $500,000. Less than 1 percent of the population paid income tax at the time. Form 1040 was introduced as the standard tax reporting form and, though changed in many ways over the years, remains in use today.

One of the problems with the new income tax law was how to define "lawful" income. Congress addressed this problem by amending the law in 1916 by deleting the word "lawful" from the definition of income. As a result, all income became subject to tax, even if it was earned by illegal means. Several years later, the Supreme Court declared the Fifth Amendment could not be used by bootleggers and others who earned income through illegal activities to avoid paying taxes. Consequently, many who broke various laws associated with illegal activities and were able to escape justice for these crimes were incarcerated on tax evasion charges.

Prior to the enactment of the income tax, most citizens were able to pursue their private economic affairs without the direct knowledge of the government. Individuals earned their wages, businesses earned their profits, and wealth was accumulated and dispensed with little or no interaction with government entities. The income tax fundamentally changed this relationship, giving the government the right and the need to know about all manner of an individual or business' economic life. Congress recognized the inherent invasiveness of the income tax into the taxpayer's personal affairs and so in 1916 it provided citizens with some degree of protection by requiring that information from tax returns be kept confidential.

I have no idea what to do?

I have no idea what to do. I am in a relationship with a wonderful man. He is great. We started seeing each other less than a year ago. When we first started going out he could not keep his hands off of me. He was so sexually and physically attracted to me. We had a great sex life. After we moved in together things went from great to never. Now my sex life is me and my toys getting the job done on our own. He seems to not even be physically attracted to me anymore. He never hugs me or kisses me unless I hug or kiss him first. He hardly ever tells me he loves me, I always have to say it first. He uses every single reason there is not to be intimate with me. He is either too tired, or he says that he just don't want to. I want to remain loyal and faithful to him. I want to be with him he is a good provider for me. But I need our old relationship back. I am a fairly young lady only 30 years old. I have always had a high sex drive and he knew about that when we first met. I find myself getting very depressed over the this situation and I cry sometimes. I feel that maybe it is me maybe I am too ugly or wrong hair color, eye color. Hell I feel that he sometimes just wish that I would go away. I love him with every fiber of my being. And all I ask is for him to love me and want me and desire me the same way. I totally understand that he works alot and yes he may be too tired sometimes. But everyday. Even on the days when he doesn't work. I tried changing a few physical things about me thinking maybe he would get turned on. HE DIDN'T. What do I do? I do not want to cheat. Personally no one has done anything any worse than the other in my opinion. What I really think is the guy that made the threats is probably the same guy that is "replying". In other words they are one in the same. I already think he is a loon. His rants on here are pretty much the same thing over and over again. Back in the day, a few years before "The Day of the All the Fucked Up Airplanes", I was in Dallas, Tx, training a bunch of BankOne execs to sell some tech-shit to other corporate pukes(steal), and I was rollin' in a rental, late-model GMC Jimmy.
When I picked up the Jimmy at the airport, I tried to load a CD, but there was one already in the player. It was "Da' Swamp Boyz" and they throw some cred to Shreveport.
This was the year the Concord blew up on take-off, because THAT happened when I was at Best Buy HQ, teaching execs how to streamline shit(steal) shortly before arriving in Dallas.
I liked the CD, and I left one of the CD from my own band I'd brought with me, in its place, (although my CD was still in the wrapper,).

A couple of days ago, I posted an personals ad on "casual encouters-m4w" hoping to meet a woman with a fetish for intact men. I have not gotten even one legitimate response, but there have been more than 30 emails that are obviously phony. Most of them are trying to direct me to porn-sites, but others the motive is unclear. I know better than to click on any link or attachment, but why are some of them just trying to get me to send an Email in reply?
I am glad that the people behind this are not intelligent enough to trick anybody into thinking that it is a legitmate response, but I am tempted to answer one of them just to see what is their motive.

Well I may have missed those removed posts, but I do know I saw the main guy admit to who he was on here. Just saying is all. I just think the main guy posting threats was completely ignorant though. That is a very bad move. I also remember him laying out a invite to anyone who was willing to meet him anywhere anytime. I personally think the main guy is the provoker in all of this. I know I would have a hard time backing down from a threat made towards me. And if the main guy was sending personal emails provoking them more, he is just wanting a fight. I have scoured over the posts on here and have yet to find any personal info on anyone. I do not see any addresses, I do not see work information, I do not see anything but initials. Those could belong to anyone. I have followed R&R for years. I do recall, however, that the main person complaining said who he was on here. That means as well, if he admitted that was him, then whatever anyone puts on here, as far as his name goes, is fair game. He showed his ass on here and bragged alot about all kinds of things. He said his own name on this board. He has no grounds to fight that part anymore. Placing a post on here and admitting your name is who they said he was, is essentially a permission slip. He also said he could care less, as everyone had it all wrong about him. I also remember him saying he was going to send emails to everyone who wanted a fight. Now I read his initial threats and the other guy sounds justified in his remarks. I mean, hell, this guy saying he was going to hack this guys account, find out where he lives, and either himself or "unsavory characters" would come to his house, break his windows, slash his tires, etc. I think the other guy is just in saying he would defend himself. You wouldn't? The first guy sounds like a complete lunatic.
I could care less what one does or the other. I do know the main person, with the threats, would be the first one in trouble. I applaud the person he made the threats to for posting them on here to get them out to everyone. A witness so to speak. Smart move. Him saying he would defend himself is not a threat in any court of law. He also did not return with an invocation of threats either. The second guy is merely stating he will not sit idly by his home and be attacked, vandalized, or let harm come to him.

Yes our healthcare system needs to be reformed. I know, I've spent my entire life in it. I was born with many birth defects. I won't get into it, but I will say I do qualify for full disablity. I don't want it. What we need is tort reform. Price controls. For instance, My meds used to run over $200 per month. Now with the price wars in the private sector, I pay less then $40 per month. We should be able to buy insurance across state lines. Healthcare reform yes. Obamacare is nothing more then a grab for power.

I don't want or need the government to take care of me. That is my job. And I'm doing just fine.

Thats great this can save me money from having to get a concealed weapons permit if i can carry my gun as long as it is visable! Maybe some of these irate people that like to confront people and make threats may stop and think twice if they see someone has a gun on there side.

Movie Extras & The ProScout Agency (S'port)

When the entertainment industry hit Shreveport a few years ago, lots of people got excited and thought it would become the "Hollywood of The South". That maybe true, but don't count on being the next big star! An extra is the most you will do behind the scenes here. You won't get to meet any celebrities, big scouts or anyone else that can open a door for you. Most extra scenes last only 2-5 seconds and no one will be able to pick your face out of the crowd. Why would anybody sit on the set for 8 to 12 hours for $80???

ProScout is another talent agency that leads to a dead end. They come here every 6 months looking for suckers with big dreams that will give them all their money! I went to one of their meetings last year to check it out and they gave a 30 minute introduction about the company. After that, they asked everyone to get in line and called people up one by one for a brief interview. They said yes to me and basically everyone else who was fairly good-looking and asked us to stay for more information. I already knew what was going to happen next, but I decided to stay for the show. The scouts said that they would like to see us again for a follow-up interview/fashion show. The catch was that you had to pay a $600 fee and had to drive to either Dallas or New Orleans within the next 2 months for the convention . Everyone in the room filled out a contact form and left with BIG SMILES on their faces thinking of walking the runway or red carpet. I didn't give the scouts any of my information and left.

A few months past and I ran into a couple that was at the meeting that night. I asked them if they went to the convention, they said yes and the guy's girlfriend said that she was picked to feature in a commercial that was supposed to air all over the country. She hasn't seen the commercial YET!.....She also didn't get anymore calls for future gigs. So she basically threw away $600!.... I've heard similar stories from other people. So if you're looking for stardom, your chances of finding it in Shreveport are SLIM!

I bet alot of people didn't know that you could carry a gun in public as long as you do not have a felony conviction or commited a crime with a gun you can carry it right on your hip in plainview without a permit. you must be of age but just think of the crimes that would slow down if someone walked into a store or anyplace of business and was gonna rob it and seen someone or several people sitting or standing in the establishment with a gun on there hip!! they would think twice about it!
IT's legal but be sure you know how to use it and dont act like a fool while carrying it.

Stop being an Extra in the movies(read) (shreveport, La)

Everyone should stop being a extra in the making of local movies until the pay increases.
I have been a extra in the local movie scene since they started making movies in the Shreveport and surrounding areas and the pay has continued to go down. Yes you may get to make a movie and yes you just might get to be the scene if they dont cut your scene out! but believe me what they pay you is not worth the aggravation you go thru.
I really suggest that everyone no longer signs up for these movies until they decide to pay you more.
Hold out they will eventually have to do something to bring the people in.
I am not disgruntled! I really enjoyed what i did but its not even worth it anymore at all.

sorry trouble making neighbor (shreveport)

This is about a nasty no good female on Irving Bluff Rd. She has tormented another female neighbor of ours for a year now and this disabled lady is now being evicted due to the heifers calls to animal control and the sheriff repeatedly. And the owner of the house! Fabricating stories!!!! Her poor double amputee child, as she told the sheriff,( that we found out is like thirty nine) is always disturbed by the neighbors dogs... His mother is the one out there making them bark!!!! He isnt even there most of the time. She is outside at all hours aggravating the dogs through the fence. We have seen her trash dumped in this ladies yard. We know it was hers cuz her freakin mail was in it when the sheriff came. She has gone around to some of the neighbors starting crap about this woman. We get your number Renee!!!!!! Your a miserable old bag that rides around on the mower for hours and hours in the summer watching everybody. We have seen you go out of your way to go in this ladies yard and talk to her company before they can even get to her door. One word for you, KARMA! And we are looking for friends to move in there when she is gone and they wont play your nasty games. We are ashamed to have you as a neighbor!!!!!!!!!!!

2 way stop in Southgate (south bossier)

FYI-for people in south Bossier that use Robert E. Lee: The intersection of Robert E. Lee and General Polk at the entrance to Gardens of Southgate is a 2 way stop. People on General Polk have the right of way. I'm tired of the morons going in or coming out of the gated community assuming those on General Polk are "running a stop" or taking the right of way -assuming they don't have it. They get this pissed off look on their face, tailgate, do the whole road rage crap, etc. Learn the facts before getting pissed off.

Who hijacked the republican party? (I'll give you one guess...)

If anyone ought to be interested in understanding authoritarianism, it’s the mainstream conservatives who used to form and control the Republican Party. They have seen their political party hijacked by the most radical element in their party, and it’s anybody’s guess whether they can get it back. The takeover has been so complete that many people have forgotten what “conservative” meant before it became “authoritarian.” I don’t look forward to “conservative” becoming a dirty word the way “liberal” did. Until we find someone who’s always right, democracy needs both traditional and progressive voices to choose from. But the principled conservative options have been badly tarred lately by authoritarianism.

Let’s suppose the Religious Right gains long-term control of the executive, legislative and judiciary branches of the federal government and accomplishes its common agenda. Which is, for starters, to outlaw all abortions, outlaw homosexuality, stomp out feminism, make female subjugation to males the law of the land, keep holy wars going, especially in the Middle East, using nuclear weapons as needed, withdraw from the United Nations, smack the hell out of France and any other country that isn’t automatically on America’s side, censor virtually every movie, television program, magazine, newspaper and the internet in any way
possible, install the teaching of Christian fundamentalism in public schools, forbid the teaching of evolution, make scientific judgments on the basis of conservative Christian ideology, and so on--complete with the death penalty for various violators, possibly by public stoning. (I hope you don’t think I’m making this all up. Google “Religious Right Agenda,” “Christian Reconstructionists,” and “Dominionists.”)

There are so many things we have not discovered yet, nobody should be absolutely certain his beliefs are right.

It is best to be open to all possibilities, and ready to reevaluate all your beliefs.

Flexibility is a real virtue in thinking, since you may well be wrong.

I am a long way from reaching final conclusions about the central issues in life.

Are you a hard head who disagrees with everything just stated and who believes they already have all the answers ?.. ...Or are you truly an open-minded person ready to admit you do not know everything and that some of the "things" you think you know may be wrong?

Hmmmm... hard-head = ignorant = doesnt want to learn.....<<<>>>.....open-minded = intelligent = ready and willing to learn
