This is a great family computer as it has plenty of room to store pictures, music, and videos along with a good amount of power to play games. It also doubles as a television when connected to a cable outlet.
I used this computer for graphic design and video editing and it runs multiple "RAM eating" programs at once, flawlessly. The only time it slowed down was when I was editing HD video.
The only technical problem with the machine is that the 16x DVD RW drive never worked, but I also never didn't anything about it. However, the 48x CD RW driver works just fine.

The package also comes with a flatbed scanner.

I am doing a learning project, attempting to put together my first cluster computer system. This is where you connect multiple computers and use software to treat them as one working computer.
I need to get several spare machines in order to do this.

They do not need monitors
they dont necessarily need computer cases
harddrives are desireable but the project can be diskless
laptops with broken monitors work good and so do old ones
i only need one machine with a keyboard and monitor
they do need to have network connectors but I do have some spare cards I can put into machines that dont already have these.

Gateway GT5656 64-Bit 3.0GHz 3GB RAM 500GB HDD (Bellingham) $500

It's getting harder and harder to make ends meet, and even though it's been a great service of me, I have to part ways with my current desktop computer. I bought this off of TigerDirect last July, and it's been great. Never had any real problems with it at all; extremely satisfied. It comes stock with a 3.0GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, 3GB of DDR2-667, and a SATA II 500GB HDD. The video card was a separate purchase; an Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS, which works great, although sometimes the fan can be a bit noisy. If you don't want it, I can knock $25 off the total. There's also a Pinnacle PCTV HD Card which is pretty nifty. It will come with a fresh install of Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I've done a lot of video editing, computer modeling and gaming on this, and it handles all of it great. I've also got a 19" widescreen LG LCD monitor too; if you want that, ask me. I'm willing to negotiate price.

ViewSonic 19" G90F Monitor (Bellingham) $30

One used ViewSonic G90F Graphics Series monitor. This monitor has served me well for many years, but I recently upgraded. This isn't a modern paper-thin LCD, but it does serve up nice crisp images. It features a PerfectFlat screen that has a maximum resolution of 1600x1200.

Clear Internet- take over my contract! (Bellingham) $30

I very recently purchased a month-to-month contract with Clear internet service then moved into a house with people who already had a different internet connection. I bought the router which was $80 but I will sell it to you for $60. The service I purchased is the basic internet for $30 per month but you could choose to upgrade to a faster speed if you desired. Their website describes it as "WiMAX Fast Home Internet (2) - No Contract / 3.0M downlink, 1.0M uplink with 2 email accounts." Since you would be taking over my "contract"- although in fact there is no contract to sign- you have no set-up, installation or activation fees! I highly recommend using Clear- their customer service support has been fantastic!
