We do not recycle them but thought that with all the tough times there might be a kid out there who would like to make some money of their own by picking up our cans each week. Here is the terms. This offer is for someone under 18 who is interested in making some extra cash by recycling aluminum. You supply a garbage can to put them in, and you must pick up once per week. Forming/joining discussion group regarding current events (Bellingham)

Though the title of this posting is very broad, I'll try to narrow it down a bit.

I'd like to join/form a discussion group to talk about the current political/social climate in our nation and worldwide. I believe it is obvious to all that these times we're living in are unlike those we've seen in recent memory. I'm tired of sitting on the outskirts, commenting on current events and feeling helpless to affect real positive change in my local, national, and global community. I don't want to write emails to my representatives from home, I don't want to hold a general protest where nothing gets done, I don't want to see efforts go to waste. I'm tired of THINKING about becoming involved and now (finally) I have started to realize the power of my voice, and along with others, I'd like to get involved.

I'm not asking to join a political group, I don't believe in that stuff. It serves as a tool to divide, rather than bring people together. I'd like to meet up with people who are open to all ideas and all possibilites and most of all, people who are hellishly disillusioned like myself, so that we together can try to make into reality what we've only been dreaming or thinking about.

I want to discuss current bills (in some detail) that are being passed federally and locally.
I'd like to hear peoples' opinions on 9/11 truth, Obama, Climate Change, Religion, Spirituality, and just about everything. It all ties together anyway, right?

This is very broad but I'd like to keep it that way because, for myself, I feel like in the past year up has become down, left is right, men are from venus women are.... ok, you get the idea.

So if anyone out there in internetland is feeling kinda like me, and would be willing to go out on a limb and meet up at some bar or house or hall (doesnt matter) to just get this stuff out there instead of having it fester inside, please reply to this email. Singing at the Threshold:
An Introduction to Therapeutic Singing at the Bedside
Tuesday, October 20th
6:30 – 8:30 PM
Jerns Funeral Chapel, 800 E. Sunset Dr., Bellingham

The purpose of this two-hour workshop is to introduce the principles and practices of singing at the bedside of those struggling to live or struggling to die. Participants will be introduced to the Threshold Choir (www.thresholdchoir.org), an international women’s organization offering a repertoire of 400 songs, trainings on clinical techniques, and the support of a vast network of singers. Threshold Choir singers go to the bedside, two to four at a time, to offer songs to comfort patients and their families.

This workshop is open to all musicians, family members, nurses and other healthcare professionals who can utilize these practices to lessen pain and anxiety. During this workshop we learn songs, discuss ethical standards and techniques, and practice singing for each other.

The workshop will be taught by Bellingham Threshold Choir director and Certified Clinical Musician, Dr. Linda Allen.
