Excellent tenant seeking excellent landlord!I am a single adult professional (masters degree) who's job was recently eliminated thanks to the economy. I fully expected this to occur and have been working on building my own marketing company in the past two years. Fortunately, i've done well enough to support myself and i'm also in a situation that now allows me to relocate to the Bellingham area, where i've visited for several years. I'm in the midst of incorporating and would like to do so in the state of WA and i'm looking for a place to rent. I have two small dogs, both of whom are trained, do not chew anything and bark once or twice if someone knocks on the door. I also have two cats, one of which is declawed, both of which are also very well trained to go in their litterbox. None of my pets have ever caused any damage to the apartment i've been in for almost 5 years and I can provide ample references to that effect. I am beyond meticulous, cleaning more than I probably need to, but absolutely above and beyond considerate of my neighbors and landlord. In fact, in the past as a renter, i've been known to completely re-carpet an entire house and never asked for a cent from the landlord. I realize many renters have a tendency to treat a rental as a place to destroy and this often makes it difficult for those of us who are entirely the opposite to find a place.


What am I looking for? Well, I have to request a nonsmoking place and that includes places attached to apartments, etc., where the neighbors smoke indoors. I respect a person's right to smoke, but I am highly allergic and asthmatic and it wouldn't work. Ideally, i'd like two bedrooms, as I use one as an office. A washer and dryer would also be lovely, but I can certainly handle purchasing my own, but would need hookups. I'm an adult, quiet, nonsmoking and nondrinking. I don't host parties or play the tv loud and I would request the same (obviously, i'd be looking for a "safe" area, as I do like to take the dogs for long walks in the evening.
