My experience in boat construction widely ranges from old world wood craftsmanship to aerospace advance usages of composite materials and laminates. My lofting and construction skills greatly apply in milar or cnc style of const. or the typical standard. I have worked with many materials including Kevlar, carbon fiber, and their hybrids. I have worked with many closed cell foams : airex, roacell, devinacell, and honeycomb panels like nomex and others. Vacuum bagging , prepreg machines and advanced applications thereof are learned practices as far back as the early 1980’s. I have cold molded many mahogany yachts in the years before company perceptions of advancement.
