My name is Jeff Gray. I am a upright/electric bass player with over 25 years experience playing, and 15 years teaching music. I have studied jazz bass with legendary bassist Chuck Israels (Bill Evans, John Coltrane), graduated from Western Washington music program in 1997, and worked in the studio with producers such as Stephen Nikleva (guitarist for Ray Condo, and Sarah McLachlan).
I teach many different styles from beginner to advanced levels. Main styles include rockabilly slap, country, western swing, jazz, classical, bluegrass, surf, jump blues, and many others. This includes music theory and sightreading. I am also available for gigs, studio work, and songwriting assistance. Please contact me for more info.
