You are looking at one sweet, compact, well designed wheel that works perfectly the first time it is used. There is virtually NO break in period. Baynes Spinning wheels are ideal for beginners through experienced spinners. I easily spin a thin single from alpaca roving (and yak fluff!) on the slowest whorl. I am currently spinning 50 wpi silk on the 7.5:1 whorl on the regular flyer. This is a great long lasting wheel for an entry level price.
Any wheel we sell comes with advice as needed. We are also including machine oil, a stretchy poly band and 4 ounces of practice roving. Complete this kit in the color and finish of your choice at a considerable savings over a finished wheel.

Your completed Baynes wheel is easily transported to guild meetings on the seat of your car secured with a seat belt. The bobbins will not fall off because of a clever special clip holder that firmly holds the bobbins onto the built-in 3 bobbin Lazy Kate rack.
The finished machine can be assembled in approximately 30 minutes by reading the easy-to-follow, step by step instructions that are included. This Baynes wheel also comes with operating instructions and our advice as needed.
Smooth graphite bearings, which have been developed especially for Baynes, make for long life and smoother quiet spinning. Most of the wheel is made of solid NZ silver beech in Ashburton, New Zealand by the Bebbington family. The wheel rim is made of NZ beech veneered MDF composite for extra stability and the bobbins are MDF as well. Well oiled MDF bobbin shafts spin as well as metal bearings.
A unique feature of the Baynes wheel is the patented flyer unit from which the bobbins can be removed and replaced in seconds without disturbing the driving cord/band. The rear flyer support has a lever fitted for easier removal of the 5 oz capacity bobbin.
The treadles are placed in the precise position for your feet to work with a smooth heel and toe action, therefore reducing strain on your ankles.

Finished tapestry (Bend) $15
A striking finished needlepoint tapestry in golds, browns, black and baby blue. Done by my mother, who traveled the world and appreciated many different cultures. This has a Persian feel to it, with birds in a tree and other animals both in the picture and around the border. Beautifully done, it would look great in most rooms. It will need blocking and framing. It is from a Dimensions needlepoint kit, circa 1978, Number 2052 "Traditional Tapestry." It will need a 16" x 22" frame. That is the size of the finished work, so if a mat is desired, it could be bigger. Done in 100% Persian wool yarns on canvas. I would like to find this a special home.

This painting is of an old 1950's robot who is strolling through the forest and comes across a butterfly. Spinning wheel, drop spindles, drum carder, felting kit, and more (Culver, OR)
Hello everyone. I am trying to get my fiber area cleaned up and have quite a few items which have been just sitting. These are really good items (ones I have been saving specifically because I had intentions of using them more), I just don’t use them enough to justify the room they take up. My house is very small!
Updated: Sold items have been removed. Everything remaining is what I still have available. Thank you.
1.) Needle felting kit. Called “Fantasy Flowers with Alpaca Fiber”, it directions for making flowers, felting needle, picture of finished project ideas, template guide, 1 oz. of dyed alpaca fibers in purple, red, lavender, yellow, blue, green, and two light blues. Asking $10 plus shipping.
2.) Beautiful spalted maple wheel. Single treadle. Handmade by a very talented wood worker. This is a very beautiful and unique wheel. Not for traveling as it is fairly heavy. I would prefer not to ship this, so preference is given to local interest. Asking $175, or best offer.
3.) An older, but very clean and useable, Fricke Enterprises Drum Carder. This machine has been taken very good care of and is thoroughly clean. One of the first machines ever produced by Fricke. It even has original leather carding cloth. The carding cloth is coarse, but it would be excellent for coarser fibers and wonderful for felters! This machine works perfectly, is a bit heavy as it’s a solid piece of equipment. Chain driven, so this thing can handle some serious production. Teeth are in good condition without anything but minor bends to a couple teeth. No rust on this bad boy. Asking $275 or best offer. Would prefer not to ship, so preference would be given to local interest.
