Dread Maintenance (Bend)

I am looking for someone to do a little dread maintenance for me.

My hair has been dreaded since March 2008 and I have had a woman in Portland working on my dreads for the past 1/2 year with tightening them.

She uses a technique that originated in Thailand and does NOT use any products. She only uses a very small metal croquet hook when she tightens them and pulls all the loose hairs back into the dread.

If you know about this technique and are 100% confident that you could do it on my 8 month-old dreads let's talk. (My hair is a couple of inches past my shoulders) Please email me and tell me your history with dread maintenance and how much you would charge. I am also interested in bartering if that is something you are interested in too.

Does ANYONE do NICE acrylics? (REDMOND/BEND)

Is there anyone in Central Oregon, preferably in the Redmond area that does NICE acrylic nails?

I've had my nails done for years by three different people. But can someone, ANYONE, explain to me why after a year or two it seems like people who do acrylic nails just seem to not care about their work and what they send out the door?

Does anyone else have this problem at all? It seems that people bend over backwards to do their best for you for a while, then it's like you just become another animal through the shoots.

And some of you may be thinking "Maybe it's just you and you're getting picky." Well I would think that if people from the outside looking in weren't making comments about how my nails look. Friends, co-workers, my mother, even my husband notices when they're really thick, sloppy or what have you, and I never even griped about them.

So does ANYONE have some advice on where I can have my nails done, that is NOT OUTRAGEOUSLY PRICED, not asian run (I'm not racist but I have had friends go to those places that have had things happen to them that I have witnessed first hand and I'm not willing to risk it), someone that doesn't take more than an hour to do the work, and someone that ALWAYS AND FOREVER has PRIDE in WHAT THEY DO!???
