Call Center Manager (Bend)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Setting and meeting performance targets for speed, efficiency, sales and quality; planning and managing change
• Managing the daily tactical operations of the call center
• Directly oversee supervisor and/or shift lead activity and progress
• Is a liaison with other department team members to gather information and resolve issues
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments
• Monitoring random calls to improve quality, minimize error and track operational performance
• Recording statistics, user rates and the performance levels of the center as well as preparing reports
• Is a liaison with Human Resources in planning and developing staff recruitment, reviewing the performance of staff, identifying training needs and planning training sessions.
• Handling the most complex customer complaints or inquires; organizing staffing, including shift patterns and the number of staff required to meet demands
• Coaching, motivating and retaining staff and coordinating bonus, reward and incentive schemes
• Forecasting and analyzing data against budget figures on a weekly and/or monthly basis
• Developing, implementing and reviewing core responsibility and tasks
• Analyzing performance statistics and making wise business decisions on the basis of these statistics
• Forecasting and Scheduling based on anticipating volume and service level goals
• Improving performance by raising efficiency and fully utilizing software tools and solutions


SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 3 years of successful experience in managing a call center with proven track record. In addition, previous experience with ASPECT call center software and/or similar call center system is preferred. Hospitality experience is considered a plus.

VP of Development (High Desert Museum)

The Vice President of Development is a member of the High Desert Museum’s leadership team reporting to the President. The Vice President of Development is responsible for leading the Museum’s advancement program and managing the Development department. The Vice President will also be responsible for developing and maintaining active and productive relationships with board members, donors, and members.

Specific areas of responsibility include:

Fundraising
- Manages their own portfolio of prospects and is responsible for soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations. Area of focus will be primarily individual major gifts.
- Directs all fundraising activities including trustee and large donor giving, membership, annual giving, endowment and capital campaigns, special projects, and other museum-related solicitations.
- Manages all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with foundations. Directs grant writing program and reporting to foundations.
- Oversee fundraising programs for corporate donors.
- Oversees a planned-giving program.

Board of Trustees Relations
- Works with the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees and the President to develop strategies to initiate and meet fundraising goals.
- Develops fundraising training for Trustees and other leadership volunteers.
- Assumes responsibility for all Development reports to the Board and other agencies, and attends all Board meetings.
- Assists the Board with recommending and researching potential new donors.

Development Office Infrastructure
- Oversees office systems to support all Development projects and operations.
- Supervises donor and gift record-keeping.
- Coordinates development research activities.
- Oversees the management of databases and all records, files, and gift processing.
- Directs the pledge reminder and acknowledgement programs.

Management and Budgeting
- Supervise four development staff people: Manager of Individual Giving, Corporate and Planned–Giving Manager, Membership Coordinator, and Grant Writer.
- Promote team environment. Establish performance objectives and evaluate development staff.
- Develop and monitor the fundraising annual operating budget and revenue goals.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years professional, non-profit fundraising experience.
- Proven experience in designing and managing capital and endowment campaigns.
- Knowledge of fundraising database and other office software.
- Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships with board members, donors, and members.
- Adept at creating and implementing strategic fundraising plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team.

About the Position
Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Grant Writer is responsible for researching grant programs, writing proposals for both unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects, and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects. Grant proposals will be prepared for private, corporate, and governmental sources.


Primary Responsibilities:
- Research foundations, corporations and governmental agencies to evaluate prospects for grants
- Conduct the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals
- Work with finance to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundation/governmental funders on current grant programs
- Comply with all grant reporting as required
- Maintain current records in database and in paper files, including grant tracking and reporting


Detailed Responsibilities
As a vital member of the museumˇ¦s 5-person Development team, the Grant Writer is responsible for the following:

Grant Research
- Identify funding opportunities and program areas to match organizational priorities
- Research, select, define and develop funding sources to support existing and planned programs
- Work with departments to identify programs that can be funded by grants

Grant Writing
- Develop thorough understanding of organizational history and programs
- Develop and write grant applications for foundation, corporate, and governmental agencies
- Assist project managers in writing grant applications




Grant Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and report data on the performance of programs funded by grantors
- Provide stewardship to current donors by regular written updates
- Maintain the grants calendar which summarizes funding opportunities, grant submission dates, historical funding data, and other pertinent grant data
- Assist with other fundraising projects as requested


Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
- Strong editing skills.

- Ability to meet deadlines.
