Bouncing Off The Walls: Preschool T/W am (SE Bend)

Preschool Play & Learn Classes have begun! Every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 9:30am-12:30pm, you can drop your 3 year old (if potty trained)- PreK kid off for some theme based preschool fun WHILE WE ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC! These classes are designed to be an enrichment to traditional preschool curriculum, but can serve as a starting point for those that are too young for a formal program.

Class sessions will be centered around different themes and will reinforce preschool concepts through exposure to a variety of learning experiences including: childrens literature, science exploration, cultural studies, arts and crafts, cooking, music and movement activities, and of course bouncing! Concepts will be presented in a sequential, logical manner to allow for children attending regularly to build upon what has already been learned. With that being said, our themes will be 1-3 sessions long at the most, and be fluid enough to allow for new friends to join up with our group at any point and feel welcome. We regret that we are unable to allow parents to stay and play with younger or older siblings during class as we are CLOSED during this time.

Class size is limited to 16 kids and all classes will be led by a certified early childhood educator, and assisted by a qualified staff person.

Bouncing Off the Wall, the best place for kids to let off some steam, is now offering early release Wednesday care! From 2:15-5:30 every Wednesday, school-agers can come hang out, do themed craft activities, have a snack, do their homework, play games/puzzles, etc., and of course BoUnCe! At this time, transportation is not available to our facility unless you are at Bear Creek or Jewell Elementary. Bear Creek & Jewell Elementary students can ride the bus to Bouncing Off the Wall and be walked from the bus stop which is about 1 block away to our facility.

The cost for care is $20 and must be paid in advance. Sign up for 1 date at a time or as many as you like...but space is limited! Keep us in mind for those school days off too! We'll be offering both half and full day camps just like we did for the summer, at an unbeatable value!

Hello my name is Brenda. I am a stay at home mom of three beautiful girls ages six, four, and two. We do lots of arts and crafts, and learning activities, such as baking, writing songs, making up games, science experiments, and so much more. We love the outdoors and try to go out at least once a day to get some fresh air. We have a large back yard with a swing set, lots of toys, room to dig and build, and room to run. We also have a large playroom with tons of toys that are associated with learning. I am a very hands on mom so I spend a lot of time doing things that we are interested in. I charge $10.00 a day for part time, and $20.00 a day for full time (food included). I am able to start anytime in the morning but will have to send kiddos home no later then 5:15 p.m. because I am in school and I have classes at night. I am only wanting to watch two kiddos because I want to be able to focus on each child not only in a group setting but individually.

My oldest boy attends 2nd grade at Jewell Elementary and my two younger children are at home with me. I am hoping to take care of a boy or girl 3 days a week and any school age children for after school, early release and/or holidays. It's always nice to have other children around our home making it more entertaining and is always nicer for children to have kids their own age to play with and learn with. In the summer I like to take the kids to nearby parks or for a walk for outdoor exercise. We have a big backyard with a large play set which has swings, rock wall, lookout with telescope and sandbox underneath, a large trampoline, tether ball and grassy area to play ball. We also have a big driveway that holds about 6 cars and the end of the driveway which is blocked off by a large kids safety driveway net to keep all the kiddies safe and away from the street. We have bikes, three wheels, scooters, power wheels electric quads. We live in a quiet neighborhood so we have hardly any traffic moving past us. In the winter I try to keep the children as entertained as much as possible and even trips to Kiddoz and Bouncing off the wall weekly as needed. Our house is usually tidy and clean with the exception of playtime. I do sanitize our toys and areas of high use. I will create any scheduled programs you like for them including reading, drawing, coloring, painting, crafts, open playtime, song music and dance time, stretching and exercise, naps, and quiet time. I do apply calm timeouts at the end of our hallway for any unacceptable behavior that has been warned once or twice for the period of the child's age. I have CPR and First Aid Certification. I used to work for the Athletic Club of Bend as a Manager on Duty so I am a reliable, capable, responsible person with a love for children and would like to seem them enjoy their time as little individuals. I am very open and honest and would be happy to meet with you at anytime. I am sure your child would be safe and happy here with us.

We have a son who's 24- he does not live in the house, but is here from time to time and has passed the criminal background check for DHS and is listed on the Criminal History Registry with a clean record, an almost 20 yr old daughter- she attends college in Eugene, an 18 yr old son- he is usually here on weekends has passed the DHS background check and is listed on the Criminal History Registry with a clean record, and a 6 yr old son whom I home school. As you can see, we have lots of experience with raising children. We absolutely love kids and consider them a blessing from God.

Current Rates:

One Child: $2.75 per hour
Second Child in Family: $1.75 per hour
Third Child in Family: $1.25 per hour
Overnights (10:00pm to 6:00am): $1.00 per hour per child, any hours outside this time frame will be charged at normal rate.

A little about my background:

I believe laughter, love and listening are the keys to raising healthy and happy children. I have 6 years of education in Early Childhood Development through Washington State University. I have worked as a Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Teacher in a large, accredited learning center for 4 years, as well as in-home childcare for 3 yrs. So I truly understand what a young child's emotional, social, and physical needs are.

Toddlers, especially pre-kinders, love to explore by using their hands, mouths and voices to discover their world around them. I enjoy providing a safe opportunity for your little one to learn and grow in a home away from home.

My goal is that your child's experience is loving, safe and individual to his or her unique needs at this tender age. These little guys and gals will have plenty of years ahead of them to be in a structured school environment.

I believe in day full of laid back safe learning, and that happens through PLAY! I believe all learning should include exploration and creativity. I use Positive Reinforcement to encourage our children when they do and say the right things to each other. I use Redirection of poor behavior by guiding them to another choice or option. If necessary, I use "think time" for older children who are able to comprehend that they are acting in an unkind or unsafe way when redirection of repeated behaviors has not worked.

I do allow limited age-appropriate learning TV programs or videos, and occasionally a fun G rated movie. However, little ones at this age are rarely interested for longer than 10-15 min. at most. Sometimes these programs can offer a fun way to dance wiggle and laugh as a group! However, I do not allow the TV to be on all day, or used as a substitute for face to face interaction.

I believe the fun stuff in life does not happen while sitting on the couch! We like to listen to music, sing songs, dance, play with musical instruments, go on walks, run and jump in our backyard, dig in the dirt, play with blocks, play dough, bubbles, color, and generally have a great time! We also have quiet moments where we "read" books (ok, I do the reading, they look/listen/point/mimic) while cozily situated on their own pillows and blankets from home. I find this a great way to unwind and prepare for nap time or quiet time.

I can tell you that nothing about our day is absolutely routine. I would say that we follow a predictable, but flexible daily guideline. The same events will happen at roughly the same time every day, (meals, snacks, naps, etc.) but as with adults, structured monotony creates boredom and frustration in children. While general consistency creates a sense of security, and breeds the character traits of flexibility and the ability to adapt to life!

SERVICE CHARGE: $2.50 per hour for children under 2 or $375.00 a month for

full-time which is 25-40 hours any thing over that is by the hour. Part-time for children under 2 would be $190.00 a month which is under 25 hours.

For children over 2 and potty trained it is $2.00 per hour or $300.00 a month for Full-time which is 25-40 hours any thing over that is by the hour. Part-

time for children over 2 and potty trained would be $150.00 which is under 25 hours and if not potty trained they would be charged the under 2

amount until potty trained, which I would help with. I have alot of REFRENCES from current and past moms that I have taken care of there children

available upon request. I am very flexible and am willing do it by the month,weekly, bi-monthly or by the hour, it is up to the parent.
