I have always had the belief that there are two types of smart...book smart and street smart. Generally the two never go together. The thing about theory is it can look so good on paper until you try to apply it. You see a person might assume that if a person has faith..they must have been forced to attend church, sunday school, bible class...it must have started at an early age and been pounded into their head by others...how else could a person possibly believe in God or a higher power. The fact, book,schooled idealist just can't see any other answer. See a person who is moral, honest, experienced, true to themselves, open minded and good hearted that thinks for themselves may have found faith simply by applying these principals to their life. Dog Wanted (not large) (Bend)

Active couple seeks medium or smaller dog for a playmate for existing dog. A mixed breed would be preferred. No pit-bull mixes (the pounds all over the state are full of them - please have your pit-bull fixed it is a really manly thing to do.) No herd dog mixes unless the herding instinct is very weak. The pounds are also full of herd and herd mix dogs. Also no preexisting medical conditions. We own a home with a fenced yard and have stable incomes. The last two mixed breed pound dogs we had lived to be 18 and 19.5 years old (Cocker\ Lab and Airedale\Lab). Preferably the dog would be maybe under 5 years old in good physical condition. Sounds fussy but we kept the last dogs a log time so......We could buy a Labordoodle or something similar but do not want to support puppy mills.

Well mannered puppy needs new home (Bend)

Meet Max - he's a fabulous 8-month old lab/smooth coat collie mix (according to the shelter) and he joined our household a couple of weeks ago to be a buddy to my older dog. He's everything I would want him to be but he's not everything my older dog wants. There's no aggression between them - she just completely ignores him. And it's absolutely not Max's fault. He's getting pretty lonely and I would love for him to find a perfect home.

Anxious to avoid raising taxes too much to pay for their health care proposals, the Obama Administration and its Congressional allies hit on a great new idea: Make the states raise their taxes to fund the program instead.

Both the House and the Senate bills require that states cover a larger percentage of their people under Medicaid – a joint state and federally funded program. The idea was to force the state to raise their taxes to cover a big part of the health care bill for treating poor people. Since the Feds can simply charge any increase in spending to their already overdrawn bank account, but the states have to balance their budgets, the increased state spending for Medicaid will cause sharp increases in state taxes. And the Governors will get the blame, not Obama and not the Congress.

FOUND DOG - Pitbull tan/white (Hwy 20 - Tumalo/Bend)

Sadly, tonight (approx. 5pm) I found a tan/white pit bull dog, deceased on the side of the road. He (or she?) is beside the north bound lane between Bend and Tumalo (approx. 1/2 mile north of the Bend/Redmond Rd turnoff). The pooch was wearing orange Harley Davidson collar, but no tag.

He/she had obviously been hit by a car. Please feel free email me, if you need more information.

My condolences to the family, whomever you are. He/she looked well cared for and probably loved.

Soul and motown vocalist looking for band. (Bend freaking Oregon)

Hey there. I have been singing since I was a wee little lad. I have a very wide vocal range and would like to put my vocal skills to the test. I like a wide variety of music. From hip hop, classical, metal, jazz, oldies, rock, hardcore, disco, motown, soul, r&b, and everything else in between. I know there is a lot of metal and hardcore bands out there. And I am looking to sing for something different. I would love to start a motown, funk, soul, hip hop, and rock project with some willing musicians who want to not just make beautiful music together, but would love to make an absolute and complete fusion of styles that has never been seen before. Sorry it has taken me so long to post.
A black cat with a white patch on its chest, no collar, declawed front paws, was stuck in a tree a few nights ago.
Supposedly it had been up there for four days.
Anyways, I now have the cat. If anyone is missing a similar cat, I think it's around 6 months or something.
I have it.
If not, it's fine, she's a great companion.

Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.

The FIRST patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.

The SECOND sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, the gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another week and finally has his surgery scheduled for a month from then.

Why the different treatment for the two patients?

The FIRST is a Golden Retriever.
The SECOND is a Senior Citizen.

Lost: Tydye aka Ty Thomas...Journals, CDs and Anything Else (Bend and /or Eugene)

It's been almost 6 months since Ty was passed and I'm still posting to find out if anyone has come across any of his writings, his journals or anything else of his. I'm learning so much about my son and I'm grateful for those of you who have emailed me over the past several months in response to my craigslists posting. I've found comfort and encouragement in your words. God Bless those who are really working hard to turn your lives around. I know Ty was if only he would have been given the chance to prove it.

I'm posting again, as I've discovered that all of Ty's CDs are also missing. He burned quite a few CDs for the different raves he attended or helped with. I would like to know who has the CDs. I do not want them back, as they are something he would want to be shared with those who loved the music and good times that he loved. I just want to know who has them. And all I ask is that you do not throw them away. If you find you don't want them, email me.

I am going to continue to look for his journals and any personal possessions he may have left behind when staying with Adam in Bend or any other friends. If by some chance you run across any writings, journal, his ID or whatever, please please contact me. He moved around alot, had many acquaintances who moved in the same social circles, went to the raves/parties, whatever. His journals and such are really important to me so please contact me if you come across anything that belonged to my son.

There are still so many unanswered questions about his passing; but I will continue with my search for the truth. Thankfully, there are others who share in my quest. My promise to Ty, his daughter, his friends and family that I will not give up until I find out exactly what happened the morning of May 27, 2009. As most of us know, it was not as reported.

It is still unbelievable to me still that I will never again hear him laugh or enjoy a hug. Ty was my only son and I miss him tremendously. Please keep Ty and his little girl in your prayers and may God Bless his friends and those who were there for him when he needed a place to land. I'm finding out that he indeed touched many lives.

I guess the white house has nothing better to do than attack Sarah Palin. Calling her dangerous and even holding a fund raiser to so called push back right wing attacks.
