Seeking Winter Caretaker for remote location (Jawbone Flats, OR)

Our winter caretakers are responsible for maintaining the facilities at Jawbone Flats through the winter months. This is a residential, four month position based in Jawbone Flats, a historic mining town in the Oregon Cascades. The candidate must be able to winter over, probably being snowed in without vehicular access for a period of 3 months. Position runs December 1 - April 1.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and public
- Maintain a first-rate, off –grid, environmental educational facility
- Must be computer and Internet literate
- Must be able to lift heavy objects when necessary
- Must be able to walk/snowshoe at least 9 miles with a pack
- Must be able to drive company vehicles, including manual transmissions
- Do daily maintenance and general repair to the facility
- Maintain the hydro-electric and solar power systems at Jawbone Flats
- Maintain all the Jawbone Flats buildings
- Maintain fleet of vehicles
- Must be able to climb on roofs and shovel snow loads.

We have a great opportunity for a Field Service Representative in our Bend area.

This person will contribute to our success by aiding in the installation, support and merchandising of our coin operated entertainment toward successful achievement of our company goals. This individual will perform merchandising of assigned markets and light service requirements. Travel within assigned areas.

Summary of key responsibilities:
• Drives truck or automobile during scheduled daily distribution of product to machines at various locations on the route.
• Collects money from machines and records amount.
• Keeps daily record of product distributed to each machine, calculates number of vends and vend ratios.
• Provides quality customer service through regular interaction and communication with account managers, owner, employees, and player.
• Communicates status of machines and customer accounts to Team Leaders.
• Accounts for the security of all money, machines, and merchandise on the route. This includes reporting machine vandalism and theft as well as researching shortages/overages of money collected.
• Keeps machines cleaned and maintained in proper working order. This includes route maintenance as needed.
• Keeps daily inventory record of merchandise taken from warehouse stock.
• Maintains company tools in proper working condition.
• Listens to and resolves service complaints.
• Places product in machines to maximize presentation and sales.
• Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicle.
• Helps install and remove equipment from locations.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Current driver’s license in good standing required. Background checks and drug tests will be required.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.

Compensation:
• Position pays $12/hr
• Part-Time (approx 16 hours per week)

Must be willing to work in dirty and dusty attics and crawlspaces and wear provided personal protection equipment, including breathing masks, gloves, tyvek suits, and eye protection. Work in small, tight crawl spaces may be as long as 8 hours per day.
