Requires considerable knowledge of the principles, practices, techniques, and tools and in the repairing, maintaining, and overhauling of automotive and construction equipment, both gasoline and diesel powered; knowledge of the principles of internal combustion engines, automatic and manual transmissions, differentials, hydraulic units, electrical and charging systems, air systems, braking and suspension systems; knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions in a mechanical shop environment. Skill in using the full range of hand and power tools used in automotive repair work. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and electrical schematics; ability to weld, fabricate, and modify equipment; ability to perform engine tests; ability to follow and issue written and verbal instructions; ability to complete straightforward logs and records of work.

1) Job Development –Cold calling and prospecting employers in the area to find job openings that match the capabilities of disabled clients. Sales experience is a plus as is exposure to individuals with disabilities.
