Powdr buying Copper Mt.

Sorry for you folks at Copper, but it looks like huge layoffs are heading your way. Get ready to get "lean".

"Wild news breaking today: Intrawest is selling Copper Mountain to Park City-based Powdr Corp, with plans to close the deal as soon as next month.

"Intrawest, based in Vancouver, owns nearly a dozen other resorts around the world, including Winter Park and Steamboat Springs here in Colorado, but has been spinning some of them off in the face of mounting debt: In August, Intrawest sold off its lodging and commercial operations at Arc 1950 Resort in Savoie and the Flaine Montsoleil Resort in the Haute-Savoie region of the French Alps.

"Copper will be Powdr Corp's first Colorado resort; it also owns Park City Mountain Resort, Mt. Bachelor, Boreal, Ski Las Vegas, Killington, Pico Mountain, Soda Springs, and Gorgoza Park. Early word is that Powdr Corp will continue to honor the Rocky Mountain Super Pass products for the 2009-2010 season."

Deschutes County Jail System (Bend)

Hello Residents of Bend and local areas arouund the Deschutes County Area.

This advisory is for all Residents to be aware of the many problem which
are common place inside of the County Jail System of Deschutes County.

This advisory is to urge you to come forward and make known your own
issues with regards to the Jail system .

Many complaints have already been made by familes and friends of those
whom are presently inside of the Jail System and are being housed there
awaiting trails or completing time to be served before their released dates.

Also past inmates and recently released individuals have come forward and
have complained of the abuses they had to endure while their as an inmate.

These issues of wrong-doing and time extensions over very small or trivial
matters include lock up time in the Holding Cell and extra duty in the Laundry ,
cleaning details, and many other complaints including those of when family and friends
try to ask questions or try to get help to correct bad issues within the Jail System
only to find that their friend or family in the Jail is now being mis-treated with new
charges or extra time to serve due to outsiders trying to ask questions and get them
help from other sources such as State Senators offices or the like.

This advisory is an open attempt for you to understand you need to both file written
complaints and phone calls to your State Senators Offices and to the Federal System
governing Jails and detention Centers and make your complaints of ongoing and past
experiences with the Deschutes County Jail System .

Investigators from the Jails System Oversite will investigate your complaints and will
hold accountable those responcible for causing any injustice or wrong-doing to any
Citizen or Resident being mistreated by the Deschutes County Jail System .

Remember the Legal System including the Jail System must be accountable to the
People . Our Legal System has its Checks and Balances , to keep it running correct.

Any one working within the Jail System whom violates , even if diliberatly , is held
accountable for their actions . But your complaints need to be know so they can be
investigated and make the correct applications for change .

Home Made Peanut Brittle & Hand Crafts (Expo Center)

I will be having a booth at the Expo Center in Redmond Nov 20-22. I will have the best home made peanut brittle you have ever eaten for sale. The candy is made in a state inspected/approved kitchen. Also hand crafted items. My sister will also have her Victorian hand crafted items.
