Do you need a band for your party, charity event, bar? Cellar is ready to play. Our last show was at Silver moon in Bend and it was great! Everyone was dancing and having a good time. we play alternative rock, our style includes various time changes, key transpositions, and technical changes, that being said were looking for someone who can keep up with this kind of music.

as tall as lions, circa survive, dredg, incubus, patrick watson, wintersleep, the mars volta, jaga jazzist, maserati, minus the bear, muse, mutemath, radiohead, tool, portugal the man, oceansize, the sound of animals fighting, etc.......
no intention of sounding full of ourselves, but we know our level and its high, so please no people that think they're good, but no confidence, we need someone who can create amazing melodies, and keep up with technical music. someone who isnt afraid to get up in front of a big crowd and do your thing.

Whoa dude, could it possibly be that you are putting out the same "angry-frustrated-unhappy-musician" vibe, that you just posted here, to the musicians that you HAVE encountered here in Bend?? Chill out, try not get so worked up, and you might find musicians who actually WANT to play with you. I've been in Bend for 21 years, and it is filled with awesome talent, drawing from all genres of music. But just like anything and anywhere else, not every person who you meet will be a perfect fit for what you are looking for in a musician. This, my friend is what makes music so great: diversity. What is freakin' awesome to one person, is like total hell to another.
Be patient and look for the good in the musicians/(FCKRS?) that you do meet.

lookin for some bands to play a new years eve concert (Bend)

So we will be hosting a concert at our house on New Years. We are thinking we will have around 100 people at our house. There will be be skating on the halfpipe and a rail for snowboarding and skiing. If you are good it will be a paying gig, prob around 200 bucks and all the beer you could want to drink. We are open to different kinds of music but we are leaning toward a bluegrass/folk band, reggae, sublime style music or whatever, just give us some details and a music sample. This is probably silly but....
I need to get it out of my system to play in front of a crowd... at the same time I love to play and spread the word of Floater. My problem is the second I open my mouth to sing the room clears out. I'm just looking for one night of jamming some good songs out with someone with a decent voice. Box-car String-band here, looking for an all around multi-talented musician that has impeccable rhythm. We are not looking for a drummer with a big kit who wants to get technical. What we are looking for is someone who can bang out a boom-chick', boom-chick' on the kitchen sink, or whatever, and be able to leave their set and fill in the rhythm in a variety of ways, Think hillstomp, RL burnside, T-model ford.

Rock Trio Seeks 2nd Guitarist (Redmond/Bend)

New band working on all original material seeks a 2nd guitarist to help fill out our sound. Lead capability is a preferred but very interested in atmosphere and intensity. Chord/key knowledge is a must. Some of our influences include Seether, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Tool and many other modern radio/hard rock bands. We have not recorded yet as we are still new but we would like to let you come here us or sit in and jam. We are in our 20s and would prefer someone in our age group.

Local Metal-Punks, Come Together (Redmond/Terrebonne)

Hey, we're in need of anyone with an abrasive enough mind to play some grinding crust punk. In case you don't understand, crust punk is a subculture and style of music which has remained fairly underground throughout it's existence. Think Motorhead meets Napalm Death and the child is obsessed with d-beat, scandinavian, and japanese hardcore punk (but doesn't forget his roots either)
Basically, If you can shred out some down tuned, distorted mess of a grinding cadaver than your good. It's really not that hard.

Anyways we're in need of a solid rythmn guitarist. We're going to get a practice scehdule going for the winter. There's three of us in the band right now including our lead guitarist, our drummer, and the bassist (myself).
A new venue just opened in a warehouse in bend and they're in need of bands too so we really want to get this ball rolling and help spice up the "scene" or whatever.

Ok, first of all, just because you have a guitar, it don't mean you can play, or that you're a guitarist. Just because you got 99 or 100% on a song in Guitar hero, don't mean you can sing. I"ve been here 4 months and only met one reliable person that is true to their word. I have no patience or time for fakes and flakes. Now that that's outta the way! I"m a 34yo guitarist with a drummer that has been looking for the right voice for a while now. I"m begining to think that we're not going to find it here in bend. I want someone with charisma, and attitude. Ready to front a band that's eclectic, but falls somewhere between punk and metal. All orig tunes no covers here. Local band with solid foundation and full CD looking for our drummer. Your influences will be a solid groove, zero drama and the need to present an amazing show as well as great songs. Must be creative and technically proficient. This is a power trio so we all cover alot of ground musically. What do we sound like think AC/DC meets Megadeth, Lynyrd Synyrd meets Nickleback, Ted Nugent meets Black Label Society, Ozzy meets Corrosion Of Conformity. We are a hard rock band but we write songs with a commercial appeal and the groove and hook are more improtant then being heavy. Band will be promoting a CD recorded in 2007 while writing and preparing songs for a 2010 recording project and gigs gigs gigs. We have a manager, gear, rehearsal space and a plan just no drummer. We will do covers that turn us on but are not a cover band. If you can hang, bring your A-game and leave the drama with your mamma we want to hear from you!

I need someone to teach me guitar (Bend/Redmond)

I am wanting to get back into guitar. I can barely remember the note of each string so I need someone who is patient and willing to get me back on my feet AT MY PACE.

I don't need to be rushed, I want this to be a fun and joyful experience for us both. If there's anyone out there please let me know.

I am younger so if there's someone out there that is anywhere from 18-30 that works or functions at odd hours, that would probably work better for me. I work nights so I am DEFFINATELY not a morning person.
