Artist needs short term assistant for major commission (Mitte)

I am an American artist based in Berlin, and I am looking for a short term assistant to help me with a major commission. The commission is by a major theatre, and it is an installation/performance piece. The performance takes place November 28, so I need someone for a few days leading up to that. You could potentially start Monday. I need help making a large scale drawing that will be a component in the installation. The technique being used is a way of tracing, so although some drawing skill is necessary, no rendering is involved. The work is monotonous for the most part, but we will be working together on it. All the work takes place inside the theatre itself, so you won't be stuck in a dingy cold studio either.
I cannot pay, but I hope someone might think of this as a worthwhile experience. Perhaps you are a student, or are curious about becoming more involved in the Berlin art scene. I recently was in a show in New York, and I have a solo exhibition coming up in May in Berlin. Everyone who comes here from somewhere else has a reason. God knows we do. Mysterious and sordid reasons. Dangerous reasons. Berlin is a magnet not only for political refugees and bank robbers, but also for neon hoodlums and dinosaur hunters. Perhaps you were born here, or perhaps you showed up one day confused and weary, and found a dirty mattress to lay your bones. Perhaps you make obscure art objects or sell them or have irrational and undying affections for gray skies, gigantic sandboxes or the concurrence of the future and the year 1992 (clubbing via timemachine.)
For many, Berlin is a place where people come in search of space. Cheap space. Outer space. Head space. There is so much of it – seemingly endless space – abandoned, decaying, re-built, re-envisioned. This hollowed out potential – the empty skyline etc etc. We too are space seekers and explorers. We hereby give birth to the PostRaum in hope of creating a space for all the strangers in paradise – a community for the music makers and the dreamers of the dreams. We are here to facilitate the unique madness and vision of the diaspoira of artists that have found themselves here. We hope this vision can be created in tandem, with parties and words and pictures, some of which move. It’s not just about parties. Ok its kind of about parties. But its not about English language dating cruises and karaoke and finding the best latte falafel techno bookstore. This is the beginning of a space – both tangible and otherwise – to share work, ruminations, and a continued endeavor to keep the artistic community of Berlin vibrant, strange, and deadly.

take over my internet contract (berlin)

I recently moved in with someone who already has an internet connection, but am stuck in an internet contract which lasts another 15 months or so. The only way out is for someone to take over the contract. It's for a portable internet connection, and costs 25 Euros a month. No real installation necessary, and I'll give you the hardware for free. I am looking for people that work with or have worked with PXL 2000 cameras, whether modifying or shooting (with serious ambitions or as amateurs).

If you have been involved with this camera and are interested in participating in a documentary film, please get in touch and send me your experience/interest with the camera.

We will be looking to do interviews between December-February. We will also be looking to use footage made with the camera to accompany the interviews. As this is an extremely low budget project, none of this will be paid for. Filmmakers will of course be credited and thanked so it could be good publicity if the film gets picked up.
