We are an American couple with a 4-yr-old daughter coming to visit family in Germany starting 12/28/09. We'll probably spend the last few days of our trip in Dusseldorf, so will only need an apt in Berlin until Jan 5 or 6. But our apt in NYC will be available until Jan 11, 2010. We'd love to do an exchange, have had great success with this in the past!

The apt is bright and spacious, in a lovely and safe neighborhood - "Hudson Heights" - in northern Manhattan, 18 min subway ride to mid-town. We're just a few blocks from the 181st St. 'A train' subway stop, and about a 10 minute walk from beautiful Fort Tryon Park, which features the Cloisters, the Metropolitan Museum's medieval collection. Also, delis, restaurants, etc. are around the corner. The apt has one room with queen-size bed, one with a double-bed and piano, and a living room with fold-out couch. There's also a large eat-in-kitchen and one bathroom. Clean and quiet, with partial Hudson River view. Very comfortable!

I will be in NYC on a research project from the first week of january 2010 until the middle of march 2010. for this time I would like to swap apartments with someone in NYC
My place is a bright and spacious studio-apartment on the 5th floor (top) of a building from the 80’s. The neighborhood consists of buildings from the sixties up to the eighties. Modernistic concrete blocks, not the 'typical' Berlin housing.

My apartment, approx 60 square meters, (central heating) is a bright, airy two room flat, with a big kitchen and with a spacious sunny balcony, fifth floor, south-west. One room is used as bedroom (with a queen size bed), the other one, I use as a studio (which can be a living room, a second bedroom ect.). Wireless internet as well as cable internet, Television ect. are available.

The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, mixed. Three minutes walk and you can take the streetcar (seven days, 24 hours) to Prenzlauerberg, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, the places with the highest Bar-density and clubs. There is also the S-Bahn, an even faster connection to different centers of the city. Mitte with its galleries and art scene, Wedding with its pulsing (for German conditions) cultural mixtures and a number of parks are just around the corner. Groceries shopping in the Turkish Supermarket or the German one…

All windows face South-West and especially in winter my apartment can be a sun flooded place... yes, winter can be very beautiful around here...

Greek Cyprus for Germany (Anywhere Germany)

Hello, i have a very basic 36 year old flat of two bedrooms in Limassol (Greek part of Cyprus), 30 mins by foot to nearest beach, 5 minutes by car. Certainly more than a month though. Also, not only for Berlin but any part of Germany, i have no problem for smaller towns too. My Nice, France for Your Berlin

Have 79M flat in the center of Nice. 15 minute walk to sea. No car needed. One full bedroom with 3-person bed (oh-la-la!). A double width living room. Living has a 1 person sofa bed. And, I have a blow up mattress. Kitchen new. There is a washing machine and dish washer. Bath and toilet are separate. The place is wired for DSL but there is no TV. I'm not sure if I will leave my computer or take with me.

Great things about apartment. There are 10.5 foot ceilings. The apartment faces south. (Too much sun!) Three sets of french doors to 3 separate balcons. Balcons are planted up with flowers and schrubs. There is original artwork on the walls. My pride and joy is the Steinway grand piano. It's a model S in perfect shape. I'll add pics of the apt. when I get chance.

I'm looking for something in Berlin from the second week in February to the second week in March. It will be just me and my 6kg dog.

We're a French-American couple planning to spend approximately one week in NYC from the 15th of December until the 22-23th and about one week in the San Francisco from around the 27th until the 5th of January or so.

Our apartment is bright and sunny, facing directly south on a quiet, tree-lined street and is located in the center of one of Berlin's trendiest and most exciting neighborhoods, Kreuzberg. We're one block away from the canal lined with parks, cafes and bars.

The apartment is a sprawling, newly renovated 90 sq. m. (about 1,000 square feet) apartment with ceilings approximately 15 feet high and decorated with 19th-century stucco sculptures. It has beautiful, original wood floors and a duplex bathroom -- the bath tub and sink on one level and the toilet on a lower level. There's an enormous living room with a small balcony on the street, a spacious bedroom, another room we use as a study and an eat-in kitchen. All amenities including a washing machine, large TV with cable, phone and internet are available.

If you're interested in swapping your apartment in New York or in the San Francisco Bay Area with ours, we'd like to hear from you! Our place is free during the whole period from December 15 to January 7 including Christmas.
