We have a dog and a cat here. Our puppy is great with kids. My 8 month old and her are best friends. She is a little rambunctious at first but calms down fairly quickly. She loves to meet new people and our cat is a bit of a loner so he doesn't come out from hiding too often. He is also declawed so no worry about scratches.

We live in a really quiet neighborhood. Our house is a small two bedroom. We are currently finishing up redoing our basement to make more room. We should be completely done by Christmas time.

We don't live too far from Port Dick Park or Otsinengo Park so on nice days we could get outside. For yucky days we have lots of Disney movies and I also enjoy doing crafts, coloring, and fun little projects for children.

As for experience, I have been working with children for over 8 years now. This includes babysitting for numerous families, with anywhere from 1 to 5 children at a time. I have babysat for all ages, including infants (newborns too). Most of my experience is with the infant and toddler age group, but I am more than comfortable with older children as well. I also worked as a Sunday School teacher at my local church, I was the sole teacher of the infant (birth to 2 years) class and I had a lot of fun with that. Because of that, I have a ton of experience dealing with separation anxiety and I have some pretty useful tactics when it comes to calming kids down once their parents have stepped out for a while.

I am certified and stay up to date with all of my first aid and CPR certifications. I am a lifeguard, so I have that certification as well as First Aid and CPR for the Infant, Child, and Adult. I am babysitting certified as well, and all of my certifications are through the Red Cross.

Hi there! Thanks for reading my post!! I am the proud mother of 3 boys, one is a 2 year old autistic child. I am blessed to have a stylist come to my home to give him a hair cut. Sadly I dont think this is offered enough. I also lost my mom and sister to cancer and have another sister with cancer. Going to the salon to get their hair cut or shaped when it was fallling out was very difficult and at times impossible and just as hard for me. I have considered going back to school to get my license to become a stylist that travels to the comfort of your home, hospital or daycare (or even into a participating salon) to help those in need. In my thought process I came to the conclusion that there needs to be a country wide network for this. A place where parents of special needs kids, or adults or bed ridden expectant moms to be, cancer patients etc etc can log into the site and search a network for stylists on the team that can travel to give them a Comfort/Caring Hair Cut/Style. If you currently work in a salon you don't need to leave your job, this can be done in addition. I also have spoken to my sons therapists and they too feel this would be a wonderful thing to offer. So I am putting the word out to you all ~ are you a mom or person who wishes to have this service offered to you?
