I really need some of my knitted garments/clothes repaired by someone who is a experienced knitter in the Bighamton area since the tailor I usually bring my things to only knows as much as I do on how to knit & repair knitted garments which is in all honesty very, very little. Thus, I cannot repair these holes & unwinding threads that have happened over time on my garments and have them look attractive again at the same time so I am posting my offer here on craigslist because what I can let you have in exchange for good repair services on my few bits of clothing & outerwear is jewelry! Lots and lots, depending on what you and I consider is a fair trade of course. Some but not all of the jewelry I have to offer I hand made myself (with the help of scissors, pliers and a lot of patience of course but some are pieces that I have bought over the years and is just lying around in my jewelry box without having been worn in years. A few pieces of the jewelry I have to offer are genuine vintage costume jewelry while most are not older than 25 years old however.

I have more than 20 pieces of jewelry & women's accessories that I have already taken pictures of but I am only permitted to upload 4 on this barter ad so, if you enjoy knitting and are pretty good at this skill and moreover if you are interested in exchanging repair services for various jewelry I have available please send me an email asking for me to send you an email with the rest of the photos of these items I have to offer and I will be happy to do so & allow you time to mull it over. I have not yet, but I certainly will also take pictures of the exact items that I need repaired that will be sent to you as well so you can determine if either one or all of them is a project you can handle fixing or if some or all of them are not. All of the already-knitted garments I need repaired come from a totally pet smoke free home and are of course very clean & well taken care of in sum.

To all citizens:

To those of you who are celebrating Halloween: Be safe. Parents, stay with your kids. Drivers look for kids out and about tonight, and take care. Parents, look over your kids' treats before they eat them. Know where your children are at all times! Try to let the younger kids have fun by not having older kids run them over trying to race to the next house for candy.

To those who do not wish to give out candy: Shut off your lights, close your doors, shut your blinds. No one will come and ask for treats.

To those who wish to use Halloween as a cheap publicity ad: DON'T!!!! No kid wants to get a little bit of candy tied or taped onto someone's business card, Avon catalog, or politician's info card. Save your business schpeel for some other time.

To those who do not celebrate Halloween or believe it is the Devil's doing: You have the right to your beliefs, but don't use this event as a soap box for your views. Again, turn off your lights, close your blinds. Do NOT hand out religious pamplets to the kids! One person passed out a few years ago what looked like a booklet of fast food coupons only to be a invite to their church, and a condemnation of Halloween. What a great way to burst a kid's bubble! I'm sure that they were visited later that evening by some older, angry, kids for such a trick! If you wish to share your beliefs with people, Halloween is not the right time for it!
