ABOUT ME:
I am a 19 year old female & a sophomore at UAB, but I live in Pelham. I am an Elementary Education major, but I plan on going to Auburn for veterinary school, after I graduate. I graduated high school from a Private Christian school, with advanced honors. I have currently 5 cats and 3 dogs who I completely adore!! (I have had birds, bunnies, hamsters, ducks, ect..) I love animals very much & I have tons of experience with all different types of animals! I want nothing but the best for mine, & yours as well! I have references and am willing to undergo a background check and whatever else you may wish. I am available for the holidays, since all my family lives around Birmingham. I am also available for something more permanent- such as, if you need someone during the day while you are at work. I am even available on the weekends as well, if you have any trips or vacations coming up! Like I said before, I am in college- so I will need a little bit of flexibility, but if you are looking for something permanent I can let you know my schedule way ahead of time. -Giving baths (Please understand: I am NOT a liscensed groomer, so I do not "groom". I will, however, bathe, dry, & brush animals. The reason is because, I know how difficult & time consuming is it bathe animals, especially cats! So if you need someone to give your sweetie a bath once a week/every other week, I am available for this, as well.)
-ALSO-- if you need someone to run pet related errands (picking up food/litter, medications, taking your sweetie to the vet/groomer.. ect) I am available to help you out with these things as well, as long as my school schedule will allow.

I can also help with some "house sitting" duties:
-Getting your mail
-Watering plants
-Temperature/light control
-Any other things you may need done around the house if you are out of town

• If you need something thats not listed, email me and let me know. More than likely I will still be able to help.

I do ask that your provide all necessary items, such as-collar, leash, foods, litter, medications, shampoo, ect..

PRICING:
I do not charge a flat rate. I charge based on how many times a day you would like me to stop by/what all you would like me to do/where you live...ect. So if you would like, please email me what you need & I will be able to give you a ball park number and we can negotiate. (All prices are negotiable. I understand that in this economy, people do not have a lot of money to pay for pet sitters, so I am willing to work with you. I do ask that you not try to take advantage of me though.)

The Southern Drifters are looking for a SERIOUS keyboard player who has experience in playing with a classic country band. We already have all the other instrumental components – lead, rhythm, and bass guitars, drums, and pedal steel guitar. And we have the vocals. If you have the unique talent and the preference to play classic country music and you’re looking for a solid country band to hook up with we’d like to hear from you. Based in Gardendale, we usually practice on Monday nights from 6 until 9 and on Friday nights (unless we’re playing a gig somewhere) from 6 until sometime between 10 and 11. We have a secure practice area which remains set up all the time so as to save time when we practice.

They are easier to maintain. We hardly ever changed the water or cleaned the tanks because of the turtle tank filters (they work GREAT)!

RE: Banfield Rip Off (NO WAY!) (Hoover)

I know this was posted a few days ago, BUT, I just now saw it, and wanted to put my in put (sp?) in...A few years ago, we got a pitbull puppy. The puppy seemed to be in good health, but actually had Parvo. The closest animal hospital to our house, at the time, was Banfield in Hoover. We called them, and took her in, it was really sad how it took her over so quickly. She was not able to be saved :(..BUT..Banfield in HOOVER actually DID care, and NEVER once said they would have to refer us to another vet, in fact, at the time, I was unemployed and did NOT have the money to pay a vet to care for her, but they worked with us, and we were able to pay the next week! So, I'm really not sure which Banfield you went to, or why they wouldn't have worked with you. Though they seem to be more expensive than some other vets, they were still very nice, and seemed to very much care about the animals and families in which they care for!

• Sorry that you had a bad experience, but we didn't. The only bad part was that we lost our new puppy!! So, everyone out there, don't let one BAD APPLE make you NOT want to go there, if your animal needs care!*

I have taken in two more rescue dogs that once they are back in health will need homes. These two came from a posting on here that I was suspicious about and sure enough confirmed. Both are mixed breed medium sized dogs that are emancipated and infested with hook and whip worms. They should weigh between 40 to 45 pounds but sadly one only weighs 19.9 and has severe hair loss and many wounds from her partner biting her from food aggression. Cameo Model Mgt. Hosts Fashion Show (Palmerdale Homesteads Community Center)

Free Chihuahua/Maltese mix to Good Home (Hoover)

I have a foster-dog named Bella who is a 2 1/2 yr old Chihuahua/Maltese mix. I have had her for a couple months trying to re-home her for a friend who could not take care of her the way she needed to be taken care of. Bella is very sweet and loving dog. She is a little cuddle-bug on the couch or in the bed. She is mostly potty trained although it has been a long road being that she was trained to use a potty pad and doubt she had ever used the bathroom outside before I recieved her. She now will sit at the door and let me know she would like to go out but has the occasional accident in the house if I haven't stayed on task of putting her outside. She does well with other dogs after the initial "get to know you" time. She loves to play with her toys and will play fetch and tug-of-war. Bella also does well in the car and on a leash. She is up to date on her shots, but I only have her rabies Certificate on hand because I have gotten that since I have had her. She has also been recently groomed and the ladies at the groomer 'oohed' and 'ahhed' over her and wished they could take her home. You will definately fall in love with her sweet personality.

I am only interested in hearing for those who are willing to give her a 'forever' home and understand the responsibility an inside dog is including the occasional grooming, food costs, shots, and flea/heartworm prevention.

LARGE BIRD CAGE USED by PET STORE (Birmingham)

Please consider this large bird cage for sale. It was used by a large pet store. Dimensions are 5 feet tall from floor to top by 3 feet wide by 2 feet deep. It features a compartment with 2 doors on entire bottom section of cage. This storage compartment is 3 feet tall by 2 feet wide by 2 feet deep. Directly on top of this storage compartment is a sliding debris tray with handles. The actual cage is on top of the debris tray. Measurements of the cage part are 3 feet tall by 3 feet wide by 2 feet deep. This cage was used to breed finches or parakeets. It was built to house 50 to 100 birds at a time.
