HOW I FOUND OUT IS: I WENT SHOPPING THERE SATURDAY MORNING AND SPENT $152.00 AND SOME CHANGE. WHEN MY DAUGHTER AND I GOT HOME
SHE WAS LOOKING AT THE RECEIPT AND DOWN AT THE BOTTOM IT SHOWS AN ADDITION 10% COST AND THEN THE TAX ON TOP OF ALL THAT. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN SOMEONE CHARGE LIKE THAT AND NOT WARN PEOPLE. PEOPLE WITH FIXED INCOMES AND PEOPLE WHO ARE WATCHING EVERY PENNY THIS STORE IS RIPPING PEOPLE OFF AND I AM GOING TO LET EVERYONE KNOW IT. MY BILL WHEN ALL WAS SAID AND DONE ENDED UP BEING $182.00. $15.00 FOR THE 10% CHARGE AND THEN TAX ON TOP OF ALL THAT.

Old Car Heaven in Birmingham, Al--Venue is Great. Staff is Horrible (Birmingham, Al)

We hosted an event at Old Car Heaven in Birmingham, ALabama based on the actual venue. I could not have designed a better venue, in fact after looking at over 20 other places in Birmingham, Old Car Heaven rose to the very top!

However, my glee turned to careful optimism once I began dealing with the even manager Jeff. He immediately began our relationship by scoffing at our ideas for the OUR event, insinuating that he has been doing this for 30 years, and he is the boss, not the paying customer. This went on for the two months we were planning the event. It seemed like he was going out of his way to let us have our event there.

We pleaded with him for stage arrangement, which was refused. We agreed upon certain drink prices, and literally at the start of the event he informed us that he went up on price! ( after we marketed the agreed upon prices!). We begged him for 12- 15 bartenders that we would pay for ( $6/ hr per bartender) and we only had seven bartenders working our event ( wait time for drinks was between 20- 45 minutes!!!). The other complaint from our guests at the party ( Facebook is wonderful, I asked all of our invited guests for feedback and they gave it-- drink lines were too long and the bartenders did not know how to make drinks! We had people leave after the first drink because they stood in line for 45 minutes for the second one!! Why would anyone want to pay $20 cover at the door to receive poor service???

Be very aware of Old Car Heaven. The venue looks great but the staff will decimate your event. If you value your event, go elsewhere!

Just letting you all know that alot of cops are trying to sting you through Craigslist with references to "420 households".
I don't smoke but I also don't think someone who does deserves to serve the time or pay the money they demand.
Alcohol kills and is legal along with tobacco and I think they would do better to crack down on the drunk drivers than trying to find a random smoker who may be an honest person living an honest life.

In Dire Need (Birmingham )

My name is Brother Ron Davis and I am the newly Appointed Music Minister for The Loveladys Center. For those who are not familiar, Loveladys is a center for Battered women and children, Ladys who are addicted to many different things, Homeless, and Ladys getting out of prison. This is the first time that we will have a music ministry and all of us are excited. We are a faith based program so we do not recieve any money on the state or goverment level. We are a licensed state rehab center and have school for grades k thru 10. We currently have 410 women and children in our center. A local church donated choir robes and we are so thankful. Unfortuantly, we do not yet have a music fund so we have no music. We are looking to purchase soundtracks for the choir and praise and worship music. hey thank you my name is Joshua, I am a instructor of the martial arts and have been teaching since 1999 I took a break from 2005 till now to research, study, and learn them most advance and direct techniques, tactics, and theory's I could, in the martial arts, I am now ready to start teaching again and to share everything I've learned over the past four years. I started training when I was 5yo I am now 32, I am looking for a dedicated group of people, advanced students of the martial arts, and beginners, are all welcome, there is no limit to the number of people, there are however 3 rules 1) you must be over 18yo 2) you must sign a release liability waiver in case you get hurt it hasn't happened so far, but its good protection for me, you and everyone else in our group, and 3) you must be open minded, willing to learn, and teach if you feel like there is anything missing from the training, every student is a teacher in some respect and every teacher a student, there are no fees, no dues, we do not train in one location but we use the entire city to train in, we use live training scenarios, and real life worse care possible situations, we are a cross between karve maga and Jeet kune Do concepts, we are not a sport martial art, we are not a traditional martial arts, students gain rank by demonstration of technique, not by time constraints, we train at night and during the day, we do on the spot training, in places like parking lots, parks, malls, walking down the city streets, bars, night clubs, etc in actual places where you could end up in a life or death situation, we train using modern weapons, taisers, batons, knifes, air soft and paintball guns, in order to get you used to possible situations you might face one day, we do stretching, calstinics, sparing , ground fighting, multiable riot style attackers, and much more to much realy to talk about here, send me a email if your interested, if you wanna know more before you contact me check out our 360page its located under the name bamac1977@yahoo.com it short for Birmingham Alabama Martial Arts Club so check us out.
