LOST: I thought it was going to hang on to the windshield wiper better than it did, but obviously the centrifical force of the ride was too much for it and it let go. I was blasting down cavern Rd so it must have flown solo somewhere along there somewhere. It is a Uniden handset with a lovely silver front and your generic black back. Brown Lab with leather collar-Roscoe FOUND (Childersburg/Warrior)

My children saw a silver colored pickup with Blue stripes driving on our street (Pinecrest Dr in Childersburg, AL) this past Thursday. He put Roscoe out: Brown Lab, possibly mix. He has a leather collar and a tag on it that states: Stewart Animal Clinic in Warrior, AL. We called the animal Clinic and they gave us all the information they could on the dog and its owner. The dog's name is Roscoe and at one time he had an owner named DELORIS TANNER in Warrior, AL. We have tried calling the number given by the veterinarian and it has been disconnected.

We can not keep this dog even though we would LOVE to. He is trained on commands (sit, lie down, etc) and very well behaved. He is EXTREMELY smart and walks well on a leash. One reason why we can't keep him is because he has figured out in a very short amount of time how to open our gate. Someone, Somewhere has loved this sweet, beautiful animal very much and spent a lot of time with him. He had his last rabies vac just this past February and seems to be in perfect health. When he was put out he was clean and well fed.

If you know who might own this animal or would like to give him a good home, please contact us. We hate to think of him in an animal shelter...but we just can't keep him much longer.

Lost: Small White Dog (Warrior)

My best friend has lost her beloved pet. Her name is Dixie and she is a Westie (West Highland white terrier). This dog means the world to her and I would really like to help her find it. Dixie was staying with my friends mom for a while, becuase she is in collage now. Her mother would have been keeping her for about 4-6 years, so she would have most likly become attached to the dog and ended up keeping her. Unfortunatly this was a HUGE mistake, becuase she has only had her since August and already she's gone. She was lost somewhere in the Warrior area, but may be anywhere. She has been kept inside and was outside on a potty break when she got lost. Please if you find her baby Dixie please call me at 205-669-5218 day or night. Dixie is microchipped, but the microchip is registered to her previous owner in Texas. She was rescued from a puppy mill, so please don't contact them. If you call my number my friend can verify that Dixie is her dog. She has the microchip paperwork as well as vet bills, pictures, etc, to prove that Dixie is her's. I'm not sure if she was wearing a collar or tags at the time she became lost, but if she was I'm sure they could also be described if needed. If you find any dog that you may even THINK might fit her description please just call me. You may have seen her wandering around on the side of the road and picked her up and took her home thinking she was a stray. Even if you did and you love her please return her to her owner. No questions asked, she just wants to have her pup home. I also believe that she may have been rehomed by my friends mother either sold or given away. If you have purchased a westie from a woman that goes by the name of Nancy located somewhere in the warrior area and you think it may be Dixie please contact me. Like I said she is microchipped and my friend can prove she is Dixie. If you are sure that it's her please let us have her back or at least anonomously email me that you have her and she is safe and not wandering the street or worse. If you aren't sure what a Westie looks like I'll describe. She is solid white, black nose, ears that are straight up, shorter type tail, wire hair, her body is rather short, and like I said may or may not be wearing a collar with tags reading "Dixie". Lost Blue Merle Great Dane (Crestline Gardens Birmingham Alabama)

We were Trick or Treating last night and my baby dropped her ladybug antenna's. Found this little guy running around a very very busy road with a leash tied so tight on his neck that I couldn't even get my pinky under it. He's only about 7/8 wks old and sooo sweet. I really don't think the person who had him deserves him back because not only the leash issue but he was very malnourished, matted and just plain nasty, but after a good bath and getting his weight back up, he's absolutely precious. If anyone is interested please let me know. Only true animal lovers only please. I would keep him myself but I have 6 large breed dogs and I really don't think its a safe idea to keep this small guy around them. He needs a good and loving home guys. Thank you

Found Cat (Calera)

A cat was found at Calera High school on the 27th of October. He is male 2.5 to 5 months old, orange with deep red strips. It is obviously a pet of someone and he smells like a laundry room or laundry detergent, maybe this is where he was kept during the night away from a dog? The cat is very friendly and was walking around the track area of the high school around 9PM. The cat was taken home but then return to the area in hope that he can find his way home, cats are smart that way. This is just posted so that if you live in the Calera area you will check to make sure that it was not yours, or if you were missing a cat Tuesday night and then turned up the next day this is why.

Two of our cats came up missing within 6 days of each other. The first Cat - Sam - has been a member of our family for 9 years and came up missing about 10 days ago. Our other cat - Boots - is a siamese male and was my mother's cat who passed away last year. Both cats are extremely important members of our family and we miss them terribly. Lost Lab Mix and Carin Terrier (Hwy 280/Greystone)

Lost Lab Mix - black, female, answers to the name Savannah, she is 8 years old.

Lost Carin Terrier - brindle, female, answers to the name Liti, she is 5 years old. Looks like Toto from Wizard of Oz.

We have an electric dog fence, the last time we saw them was when we left for work yesterday morning. Both dogs had their electric fence collars on that morning (collars are red). They also had purple collars with rabies vaccine tags and their names and our phone number. Please email if found, thank you!!!
