This handmade basket was purchased at Colonial Williamsburg. It was made by hand without any modern tools or supplies. I think it is either oak or ash. It measures 13 1/2 inches from base to highest point on handle and is 8 1/2 inches wide. It truly is functional art. It is very strong and sturdy. I am willing to meet in Christiansburg if needed.
