Business Systems Analyst (Roanoke, VA)

BSA Contract Opportunity.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:
- Liaison between developers and end-users on development projects
- Liaison for external clients (customers) - major issues, hot issues status reporting
- Develop business requirements, publish requirements documents and follow projects to completion
- Function as project coordinator for package releases or major project initiatives
- Ability to work with the least experienced of end-users to the most experienced developers
- Manage the user testing process for major projects
- Presents Training to end users
Essential Qualities:
- Must be able to work fluidly in a team environment with developers, quality assurance personnel and other BSAs
- Must be a self starter. Must be able to take full ownership and responsibility for assigned projects.
- Must be able to work on a large number of tasks and project assignments at once.
Training / Education / Experience:
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree.
- Three to five years of Business Systems Analysis experience.
- Experience with RUP and UML a plus
- Experience working at a software vendor a plus
- Must have excellent PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
