Job Description:

Verify Inc is seeking a candidate to perform supplier performance improvement tasking at a supplier in Marion, VA. This position will be full time for an 8-week period.

Requirement:

• Customer needs one experienced candidate for an 8-week fulltime position at a facility in Marion, VA
• This candidate must have experience within Non-destructive Testing (NDT); specifically Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT)
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Internet and Email
• Home computer or laptop as well as a cell phone is required

Detailed Description
General Activity:
Lead the efforts in the Pulp Manufacturing area to produce the highest quality product in a safe, environmentally efficient, and cost effective manner. Play an active and forward thinking role in the management team to enhance the overall performance in the Pulp, Power and Recovery department as well as the Mill.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment in which employees can perform their job tasks with minimum risks. Hold all employees accountable for unsafe performance. Manage operational responsibility for Process Safety Management
- Maintain a high level of environmental performance and continue to strive for continuous improvement achieving all mill operational goals for water usage, color and venting
- Manage the operational performance of the Pulp Manufacturing area to supply quality pulp to the paper machines with minimum variability and cost effectiveness
- Drive the equipment improvement process through committed support of the Total Asset reliability program, planning and implementing a capital investment program and overall protection of the assets of the department and company
- Continue to build, develop and strengthen through leadership, education and empowerment an organization that meets the needs of the pulp manufacturing area and has the capability, competence and dedication to support the department and Mill objectives

Knowledge and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a technical field
- Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Ability to lead people and get results through others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Previous experience in pulping and bleaching desired

Electrical Component Soldering Techs. (Blacksburg)


Candidates will be performing electronic assembly work including board preparation, soldering, desoldering, component replacement.

Must demonstrate a proficiency of skills to perform consistently above average quality of work in a timely fashion. Under limited supervision may use methods, drawings, prints, schematics, or written work instructions to assemble, modify, rework, disassemble or reassemble deliverable hardware.

The CNC Machinist is expected to perform, including but not limited to, the following:
• Independently set-up and run jobs based on production scheduling priorities.
• Demonstrate proper setup and workholding skills including touching off tools, setting work and tool off-sets, cutter compensation, and strong G & M code knowledge.
• Measure and record all necessary quality inspection requirements. STRONG PRINT READING SKILLS IS A MUST - YOU WILL BE TESTED.
• Follow Work Instructions and document all production information to complement the Job Traveler/Router.
• Assist other CNC operators in job setup and changeovers, while also seeking to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Assist Production Team Leader in preparing for job setups, job kitting/staging process, materials, tooling and quality requirements – Goal is to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidates should have and demonstrate the following capabilities:
• Excellence in professionalism and maturity in all actions and communications with leadership and fellow employees.
• Experience in CNC milling operation in 3 and 4 axis (Mazak, Daewoo Puma). 5 axis preferred (Mazak Variaxis 730 and Integrex 300)
• Experience in CNC lathe operation. Live tooling experience preferred.
• Experience with machining super-alloys including inconel, hastelloy, haynes, etc.
• Ability to be trained to operate the CMM and/or probing inspection system.
• Ability to be trained to operate the EDM (wire, ram & hole-drilling)
• Knowledge of quality control, inspection methods and use of measuring tools.
• This position requires the incumbent to experience periods of prolonged sitting and/or to regularly stand, walk, carry, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs during a 12 hour shift.
• This position requires the incumbent to regularly utilize written and verbal communication skills, including active listening, and to constantly utilize color vision.
