19", 8U, Portable Equipment Rack (Blacksburg) $20

This is a homemade portable 19" equipment rack. It's constructed of MDF with two inset handles on each side, and standard 8U threaded mounting rails on the front and back. It's not a work of art, and it could probably use some paint, but it's solid. I originally built it to move around some demo computer storage equipment (~140lbs worth) which it handled beautifully. Lately it's just been collecting dust in my basement, and I want it gone.

Guild Acoustic Guitar w/hardshell case- USA, RI-made, all solid wood (Blacksburg) $675

You are looking at a Guild DV4 Acoustic Guitar with hardshell case made in Rhode Island. For those who don't know, Guild was bought by Fender and some guitars started being made in China while others were moved to the American Fender plant (and later to the Tacoma, Wash. plant after they aqcuired Tacoma Guitars). Many feel that the quality suffered. All I know is the Rhode Island Guilds are awesome. I have owned several, and still own a Guild Jumbo made in Rhode Island. Once thought as the poor man's Gibsons, many now feel the Guilds, especially the ones from the Rhode Island era, surpass the Gibsons (especially the ones made currently.

These DV4s came out in the 90s. It has a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. Very loud, ringing guitar with great sustain. Also very light, which helps on the back with those long gigs.

Wechter Pathmaker- USA, hand-made Acoustic/Electric Guitar with OHSC (Blacksburg) $875

You are looking at a true, one-of-a-kind guitar. This is a Wechter Pathmaker, serial number "the 1090th One" on the label, hand numbered with Abe Wechter's signature and Paw Paw, Michigan written at the bottom. I actually spoke to Abe Wechter himself and he gave me all the information on this beautiful guitar. It was made in 2001. It has a solid Spruce top with solid Sassafras back and sides. Beautiful, unique tone wood that has great sustain. The binding around the front and back of the body and the headstock is curly maple, and there is a simple abalone ring around the sound hole. Gold hardware and stays in tune like it should. It has the Fishman prefix plus active pickup system, which is a grea system that can allow you to dial in a very natural amplified tone through a PA or an acoustic amp. Comes with the original Wechter hardshell case.

If you don't know anything about Abe Wechter, he started out making guitars one at a time for a select group of people, then worked for gibson for 10 years, then patented thsi design for the Pathmaker and started his own company in Paw Paw, Michagan. Later he opened a plant in Indiana for his Custom shop guitars and a plant in China for a more afordable line. But this one was made when he still hand numbered his guitars and did the work in the Paw Paw Michagan Plant. His custom shop guitars start at $2999 and go up from there depending on options. Get this one for a fraction of the price because I'm in need of the cash.

Fender FB300 Five String Banjo (Blacksburg) $200

I purchased this brand new blugrass biddie two years ago, and I have probably spent 2 hours total on it since. Needless to say it is in marvelous condition. It was part of the Banjo Value Package that Fender puts out, and I still have all components: Gig bag, Hal Leonard's Banjo book, tuner, strap, and a myriad of finger picks. I will throw in another book that I acquired, too.
It probably needs a good tuning, but you probably wouldn't want me doing it.

Ibanez Guitar (Radford) $400

For sale is an Ibanez Artcore AF-75 Hollow body guitar. It is the larger of the two hollow bodies they produce. I've owned the guitar for two years and thoroughly enjoy it. Its got a great sound when plugged to an amplifier, or sounds loud and bright acoustic. Has dual Humbucking pickups, adjustable bridge, and holds a tune nicely. The guitar has some surface scratches, but still polishes up well. Black background with a dark blue sunburst on both sides of the body. Included in the sale is a stand, hard case lined in blue velvet, tuner, capo, glass slide, and 2 packs of D'addario strings. Schroeder mini 12L Bass Cabinet (Blacksburg) $300

The Schroeder mini 12L bass cabinet weighs only 22 lbs but puts out 400 watts and goes down to 40Hz. This is an amazing cab. Schroeder is a relatively new cab manufacturer but already are used by many top pros and local players like me. Check them out on line. This cab is in near perfect condition and although I have played it live on a few occasions it has mainly been used in practice, and lately has mostly sat. I have too much gear, including two other Schroeders so time to sell some stuff. This cab come with an EA padded cover that is the best quality cover I have ever seen. Bag End Bass Speaker Cabs (Blacksburg)

I have two Bag End Bass Cabs for sale. If you haven't heard of Bag End do an internet search. They are one of the top names in the business. First is a S15-D. This is a single 15" Cab, 8ohms, 44lbs, can handle 400watts, deep red version. This cab is in very good condition, carpet near perfect, corners are scuffed. Perfect playing condition. Cheapest internet price I have seen is $420, I am asking $275. Second is a Bag End II 12" cabinet. This is an older version of the current 12" cab they make but sounds just as good. It is 8ohm, 41 lbs and can handle 400 watts. This cab has a black hard coat which has some chipping, especially on the back, looks close to perfect form the front and is in perfect playing condition. Fingerstyle guitar virtuoso Doyle Dykes will give a free concert on Saturday,
Nov. 7, 2009 at 7:30 pm at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship (2300 N. Main St.,
Blacksburg). All are welcome. Doyle is a clinician and signature artist for
Taylor Guitars and has played on stage and recorded with the likes of Les Paul,
Phil Keaggy, Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel, and many other artists. His playing is
influenced by a wide variety of musical styles and musicians from traditional
gospel to the rock and roll of Duane Eddy, and from the country sound of Chet
Atkins to the Beatles and U2.

Doyle’s appreciation for various styles of music is reflected in his albums as
they include signature compositions like “Jazz in the Box” and “Martha’s
Kitchen” and hymns like the powerful “How Great Thou Art.” Gitarre 2000 was

Fender Squire Strat guitar (Fairlawn) $100

Im selling my red Squire Strat, its a 25th anniversary edition (nothing special other than an engraved neck plate). Its about 7 years old, Im the original owner. There are some slight surface scratches in the clearcoat but nothing bad, its been taken care of pretty well. I put a white pearl pickguard on it and will include the original white one if you want it. It also has a tremelo. If youre interested in pics or have any other questions please email me. ESP Ltd Viper 50 guitar (Fairlawn) $75

Im selling a black ESP Ltd Viper 50 6 string. Its not in the best physical condition but it still sounds good and plays good. It has a crack in the headstock and between the first fret and neck, but Ive played it like that for years with no problems. Stays in tune pretty well. Its 5 years old and has plenty of scratches, pretty nasty buckle rash on the back, but like I already said, it plays good. Email if youre interested for pictures I dont have any of it right now.
