This apartment is very affordable, and has a decent amount of space. I would love to stay here, but it is an older building, and my allergies are very severe. They seem to be much worse here in Bloomington. (The allergist actually said that I'm "allergic to the world." Ugh.) This is available right away, granted I can find another apartment. This is NOT a sublease, and the lease term is flexible. The apartment managers are letting me out of my lease under the condition that I find new tenants.

I'll try to tell you as much about this apartment as possible:

--- Rent is $415 / mo without pets. Rent is due on the 1st, but there is a 5-day grace period before they start charging late fees ($5 per day). Sorry, no Sec. 8.
--- Security deposit is one month's rent -- $415.
--- Water & Sewer are included. Tenant will be responsible for gas & electric, any extraneous utilities (e.g. phone, cable, and internet), and trash stickers. There is weekly curbside service, and curbside recycling every other week. A wheeled trash can and one recycle bin are included.
--- The furnace is only a few months old, so it should be pretty darn efficient. Also, I replaced the old thermostat with a programmable one. The heating vents are on the ceiling, which is nice because you don't have to arrange your furniture around them.
--- The kitchen has a double sink and garbage disposal, and new linoleum flooring. The stove is gas, and is also fairly new. The fridge that the apartment managers provided was old and left a little to be desired, so I bought a newer one. I'll certainly sell it to you if you're interested; if not, the landlord will bring back the old one.
--- The W/D hookup is in the kitchen and accommodates full size units. I would consider selling my washer and dryer if you're interested, depending upon whether my new place would include them.
--- There is a shower only; no bathtub. I replaced the shower head with a water saver, and I will leave that here. I also bought a tub mat which will stay.
--- The previous tenant replaced all of the light bulbs in the apartment with energy saver ones. Yay!
--- The apartment is a duplex style, and all on one floor. This means no upstairs or downstairs neighbors, and no stairs to tackle during moving time! The next door neighbor is one of my best friends: very quiet and sweet. If you move here and give her a hard time, I'll break-a yo' face. ;)
--- The owners are cat and dog friendly and pet rent is actually affordable, unlike most places in Bloomington. I pay $10 / mo total for 2 cats. Although they advertise that it's $10 per pet, they were lenient with me when I asked about it. They also state that it's a $200 per pet deposit, but I only paid $200 total.
--- Potential tenants must complete an application, and the app fee is $20. The process is pretty quick, from my experience.
