Seeking housemate in Brown County for around March 2010 (Brown County, IN)

I am seeking a housemate to potentially share a 2 bedroom 1 bath log cabin on 11 acres located in Brown County. The cabin is located 2-3 miles from Nashville on SR 46 West. Currently there is no lease or anything set in stone. The owner and I are still yet to meet and coerce so this could possibly not work out at all. However if all does work out, the lease will hopefully begin sometime in March of 2010. Applicants must be the outdoorsy type, animal and people friendly, and somewhat organized. I am not a clean freak by any means, but I do like to keep my living quarters organized and clean for the most part. I am 19--you may say that I am young or naive or whatever you wish, but I am actually rather responsible and am trying to get my life going. I get along with mostly everyone, I am better with people older than myself, but I would be fine living with someone my own age. Applicants must prove that they are employed and are able to make monthly payments of rent and a split utilities bill. I am a horse rider, and will most likely be keeping my horse on the property so experience, interest, and tolerance of horses is a plus. I work very close to the cabin at a riding stables, and will most likely come home smelling of horse so that will have to be accepted haha. If you have allergies to animals, I would suggest not replying to this post. Now, we get to the fun part. Rent would be divided between us, along with utilities. I am fairly conservative when it comes to electricity and water and you should be too. The cabin has heat and a/c but I would most likely utilize the wood stove in winter time as opposed to wasting gas to heat. As far as a/c--open a window!

Currently, this is just an idea, like I said, nothing set in stone, so please DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING! If all goes as planned rent will be somewhere around $800-$850 a month total, for an individual total monthly payment with utilities included of around $500. The length of the lease is also undetermined but could range anywhere from 6 months to 2 years. I plan on eventually taking out a mortgage and buying this house, but need to work on my credit first hence the initial few years of renting. Hopefully, this will eventually be my long term home, but need a little help to get things moving. If you are just needing a place to live for 6 months to a year, that would work out great. If possible, a good reference from your previous landlord would be appreciated, but is by no means necessary or required. Applicants must be trustworthy and NON CONFLICTUAL. I do smoke, but most likely it will never be in the house.

The property has a 2 car garage which I would probably store one of my cars in. The other bay in the garage would be yours to do with as you wish.

I will have to meet you in person to get to know each other. Please understand that personality clashes will be a very bad thing in this house as it is not the biggest. It is a beautiful property that needs people to love it; the option of gardening is completely open, so if you are a fellow plant lover, this is the place for you.

Hi! I'm a twenty-four year old girl with two cats who needs a room come spring, and a lease that is basically January-August. Yes, I have two cats. They are indoor only but are very clean, not heavy shedders, and good with people.

So, basically, I'm moving to Indiana in January to be with my boyfriend, who is getting his PhD in math. This means he will be a frequent visitor, but he's a nice guy. You'll get along, I promise. As far as *my* personality goes, I'm quiet and currently working as a hotel front desk clerk. Once I warm up to you I'm pleasant, friendly, and thoughtful. I'm more an extrovert, so I probably will spend most of my time in my room. I'd like an apartment with a decent-sized kitchen and more than one bathroom. I'd particularly like to have at least one male roommate, since I find they help keep the drama at bay. None of these are NECESSARY, they're just ideas.
