And so it goes, another day passes and people strive to accomplish what they feel is necessary so that their lives seem complete. It's what we are programmed to believe and the routines we weave for ourselves ultimately become webs difficult to flee. Many of us operate as if purpose was fueling the desire to continue, as if our existence had meaning outside of our own hallucinations. Another element to absorb. Another hopeful aspiration. And yet, we are all so small, so insignificant in relationship to the universe. Strangely, we are but specs of matter in a cosmos so big we use terms of light years to give some sense of dimension to describe the space beyond. Human tendencies we embrace allow for an arrogance and absent mindedness about our mortality so that we can function without going insane trying to figure out any real meaning to this trip of life. It's nice to be able to fabricate scenarios within our perspectives so as to stabilize the journey.

Not only are taxpayers paying, but we hope that underprivildged children and adults may better themselves through our tax expenditures. The public computers stink. Every less-then-a-minute the SAM timer pops on telling you it will now control your time. then a few seconds later it pops on screen telling you it will now add time to your session. You have to stop typing and click to close the dialog every few seconds. It is impossible to get any serious work done. It has been like this for a few weeks. There is no reason for this bullshit.

Sounds like you got it pretty bad. From a guys perspective if he says "he is leaving it up to God to bring you together" normally means one of two things. 1. Why is it that some of us fall in love so easily? Why does love seem like this huge fucking game we are forced to play? Why is it so damn important to some of us to find someone to love and love us back? Ya know. I've had shitty luck. With friends like these (bloomington)

who needs enemies? the only "friend" I have is someone I've been friends with for a very very long time, we both just moved here for school. and he amazingly "doesn't get my emails/phone calls/texts/" on his cell, gmail, etc when I want to see if he wants to hang out. Which is interesting considering every time I've ever actually hung out with him he hung to his cell and gmail like a pacifier, checking them every 5 minutes.

And when I've received group emails from his friends that are "nice" to me about playing poker, etc, when I try to find out when and where, no one responds, including aforementioned friend who "doesn't get" my calls.
When my car died and I needed a ride, a friend couldn't give me a ride because they had to be back in town by 5:30, and then I saw later their 5:30 was actually hiking with friends. When I try to email these people about coming out to my house to hang out, no one responds.

The only people I know, and the only people I've met, even though generally everyone I know is over 25, go out to the bars every weekend. And I don't want to go to the fucking vid on a friday anymore than I want to hang out and play go fish with young christians and talk about jesus.

If you don't go to the bars in this town, you're treated like a social pariah. Even when another life long friend came to town last weekend, they called me once drunk sat morning at 1 am, then again one more time saturday afternoon, but that was it. And they had never once even mentioned or called me to tell me they were coming into town.

My Two Rants (Bloomington)

These are two of my pet peeves (at the moment)
1. Students that ride either the city bus or the IU bus and get off and think they have the right to cross the street. This is not a big yellow school bus, you need to wait on the side of the road that you exited the bus on until it is clear to cross. I can not tell you how many times I have almost hit someone that thinks they have the right of way to cross and comes from behind the bus and steps in front of me. One day they are gonna get squashed.

2. Asian women/girl drivers. That is all I am going to say.

First of all, saying that there is no such thing as BBW is logically inconsistent at best. So, you don't think they are attractive. SO THE FUCK WHAT? Does everything you disagree with in this world NOT EXIST? That is such an ignorant and selfish point of view, I'm glad at least in this case its being applied to relatively minor and superficial topics (as opposed to, say, world hunger. "Well, I'm not hungry, so hunger must not exist!"). But that's just it, we're talking about attractiveness. There's a huge spectrum of what people find attractive, including things that have no health value (blonde hair vs. brown), to things that do (BBW, smoking fetishes, etc). I will be the first to say that personally, I don't find extremely large women to be attractive. Part of it is because it's unhealthy, I suppose, but mostly it's because I don't like the way they LOOK. There are plenty of disgustingly skinny women who starve themselves who are unhealthy too, and there will always be men (and the women themselves) who think that it LOOKS attractive. What people think is attractive is partially based on the media's portrayal of beauty, but a lot of it just comes down to fucking preference. One of my biggest fucking pet peeves is people who act like their preference for a certain thing is the best. The fucking NATURE of preference, especially when it comes to aesthetics, is that it doesn't have to be logic-based in the least, and when it comes down to it, you can't argue that one is better than any other. Haven't you ever heard "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"? It's fucking cliche for a reason, asshole. You even bring up that playboy doesn't put large women in, supposedly to help prove your case. Well, that is fucking dumb. There are pa-LENTY of magazines, and porn generally, that feature exclusively BBWs, and that's because THOSE magazines are catering to a different preferential crowd. And really, there are a lot of dudes who think its hot. True, playboy sells more issues, I'm sure, but so what? Liking BBWs is not the norm, but why should that discount the authenticity or realness of their aesthetic tastes? Well, it shouldn't, There's just no accounting for taste, so stop acting like your some fucking model of how people are supposed to FEEL. You just end up looking like a fucking moron. BBW is a generic term that we have come to use for a woman of size and beauty. No, I wasn't describing a woman who is obviously seriously obese. Whether it is genetics, life style, lack of self control, eating disorders and/or more than likely a lack of self esteem, these women and men have some issues. Dealing with that topic is way beyond the scope of CL. Maybe we could break it down to BBW and OBW and give it some clarification. And you women that deal with weight issues daily shouldn't be putting up with people dissing you on CL. Give that shit right back. The point I was trying to make is that acting like it isn't a problem or even desirable is not helpful to anyone. Did you ever have one of those days where you show up to work and want to be productive so the time will pass by quickly, but no matter how hard you try, you really just don’t want to do jack shit?

That is the kind of day I’m having. I have no idea why, but today is passing by so slowly I feel like I am literally in some kind of sci-fi universe that has been subjected to a slowmo ray. Seriously… Every time I look at the clock on my computer I think it’s going to tell me that AT LEAST an hour has passed and every time it’s been five minutes or less!

My job is more or less entirely self-directed, which is usually nice, but today I wish that someone would just show up and my desk and dump a giant pile of paperwork on it for me to play with all day… I just can’t seem to think of anything to do that will take up enough time to get me through this last two and a half hours in slowmo hell!

It's like a dog's asshole complaining about the smell of the garbage truck. You all stink. Maybe you can all get some magical +5 hit points shampoo and jump in the shower together.

I know who you are talking about and yeah he is gross. All he does is stutter about how great he is and spin some crappy models around on the table. His boyfriend is worse though he has never washed his hair and he wears the same shit all the time.

I know that sometimes people offer me such a low price for what I am selling that I don't bother emailing back and also if I have 20 people that want the item then that takes some time. And I tell about 4 people to come and get it and only one shows up and then you gotta email the next 4 in line and so it takes time and I do tell the 3 to 4 people that I emailed to come and get it that it is sold. Sometimes people get nasty that you sold it to someone else when they thought they could pick it up 5 days later when a time works for them. I just think that is so rude when I am being courterous to them so they don't waste a call tellling me they are coming or their gas. MOST PEOPLE are rude so I just ingnore the rest after it is sold and I try to pull it as soon as I can.

once we were sellling something and we noticed something was wrong with it so we never emailed no one back and pulled the ad till we could have it repaired!

Can you please tell the tall, fat, obviously jewish and socially inept kid that hangs around the register to bathe? It is sad that the store is so nice and clean and well kept by the employees and then the nerds smell it up. Just one example of many. Why is it nerds refuse to bathe?
