John Deere 210 tractor with snow blade (Near Bloomington, Il ) $550

I have up for sale a nice running older John Deere 210 lawn tractor, the tractor is equiped with a 42" snow blade and tire chains. This is a very nice older tractor and is well built, I don't know what year but I would guess mid 70' to early 80's, It has a 10 HP kohler engine, starts and runns just fine. John Deere parts are always available and this tractor could last you a long time. I am not including a mower deck at this price but I do have one for it for sale for additional $225.00.

Local Beef (Eureka)

We have a limited number left of Black Angus calves to be butchered this year. These calves have been raised start to finish on our farm and have not been injected with growth hormones.

The meat is available in quantities of ½ or ¼ beef, which is processed at the Eureka Locker. At the locker, you can select how you want your meat processed (such as steaks, roasts, hamburger patties, ground beef, etc.) The price is $1.60/lb, and then Eureka Locker charges $0.48/lb on ½ beef or $0.53/lb on ¼ beef for processing. On average, a 1/4 beef will be 150-200 lbs, ½ will be 300-400 lbs.

The calf is divided into two sections, the front and back halves. If a person is buying 1/2 a side of beef, that means they get 1/2 of the front half and 1/2 of the back half. This ensures that you will be able to have the different cuts of meat only available in either the back or front half.

1978 Tractor w/ 6' finish mower (Central Il) $3000

I have a 1978 Yanmar compact/utility tractor with a 6'-0" wide finish deck mower brush bush hog type.

Bag attachment John Deere tractor (Dwight) $150

Hi,

You are looking at a John Deere rear bagger attachment. The mower it is mounted to is a LT-180 with a 42" deck. We purchased this about 3-4 years ago and have used it primarily in the fall for collecting leaves. When it is not used it is stored in our shed. It is not worn out, abused or destroyed in any way. Overall it is in great shape. The big plastic shroud does have the normal scratches from getting too close to objects but nothing that detracts from its operation, only cosmetic.

The attachment includes two bags, the hood assembly, the chute assembly and a really slick mounting system that allows you to remove the entire assembly with the pull of two hitch pins (neat!)

If you have any question as to what it fits I would direct you to your local implement dealer. I am unsure and would not want to say it fits something and I don't know. I did just find out from another person that it will also fit the "LA" series of Deere mowers, commonly sold at Home Depot. I also do know that it has worked flawlessly for us and when i purchased it I believe it was around $300.00 You can purchase it here for much less for $175.00. We have no more use for this as we use a mulching type mower now with a lawn sweeper.
I did put it as local pick up only. I work in the metro Chicago (Illinois) and live in the Central Illinois area so it is possible to meet somewhere at a convenient time for both of us.

Lake Rope Fencing (Bloomington) $75

These are the materials that we used as a rope fence around the lake @ Hawthorne II. There are 75 Shepards Hooks that are 31" tall, 20 eye bolt rods that are 28" tall and hundreds of feet of black nylon rope. The #'s are approximate, there could be more wrapped up in the rope. I have been in business at this location for 5 years. I have 32 years experience and I am Kohler certified and a Brigg's Master mechanic. I work on everything from 2 cycle to Utility tractors (can't fit anything bigger in my shop). I work on four wheelers/utility vehicles, go carts, mini bikes, etc. I also sell used equipment and offer a warrenty on most. I have worked for dealerships and know that most consumers cannot afford the prices they charge. I do not have the overhead and expenses they have so I can charge a lot less than they do. I'm not looking to cut business for anyone. I just enjoy working on small engines and really like being able to help the consumer out by them not having to (take out a mortgage) so to speak for a lawn mower repair. I have several references if needed. If I can help you out give me a call. I do not have set hours. I am home from my regular job around 2:30pm and stop working in the shop around 8:00pm during the week and pretty much all day on Sat. Not too much on Sun. The sunchoke is an unassuming, brown-skinned vegetable, resembling fresh ginger root, but which is actually a member of the sunflower family. Also known as "Jerusalem artichoke," it is not remotely related to the artichoke and it has nothing to do with the city of Jerusalem.

The crisp white flesh of the sunchoke has a nutty, sweet flavor and is great when used raw in salads or when boiled or steamed as a vegetable side dish like a potato. The unique carbohydrate content of the sunchoke makes it an excellent choice for diabetics.

Slight Warning!!

That's right--roughly 50% of the Jerusalem artichoke, by weight, is carbohydrates--inulin and fructosans--for which the human body has no digestive enzymes, making it at least 3 times as farty as any bean. Can anything be done to rescue the Jerusalem artichoke from gastronomic obscurity (and save the a** of the adventurous cook)? "Yes," says (again) McGee; cold storage helps, slicing the tubers and boiling in water for 15 minutes (with a quarter-teaspoon of cream of tartar or a tablespoon of lemon juice per quart of water to prevent discoloration) is better, and slow, covered baking in a 200°F oven for 24 hours will convert an even greater percentage of the indigestible carbohydrates into fructose. After that, you can use your Jerusalem artichokes just about anywhere you would use a potato, sweet potato or turnip.
