Dedicated Work Out Partner (SE Boise)

I am a gal looking for a dedicated female work out partner. I do not have a gym pass and do all of my exercising in different locations including my house, the track, and just outside in my neighborhood. I have attended an outdoor bootcamp for about 1/2 a year and have learned many exercises. I am mostly looking for a person that would like to do circuit training with weights, or just weights. I do like to run, but that is not my main priority. Fishing Anyone (Boise or the rest of the state)

Just moved to the area about two weeks ago and I don't know a soul here. Have fished the boise river in town a little bit. I was just looking to get out and see some of the other opportunities that the Idaho rivers and resivoirs have to offer. I have an 8 foot raft, fly fish, throw gear (minnesota walleye and smallmouth bass fisherman in me) or don't mind hiking into spots. I can row a boat and run a shuttle as I wouldn't mind a float in a drift or raft. Competent on the water. Have gas money, can tow with my truck. I'm a normal dude who just wants to get out and fish. Anyone want to go or show me some spots? I'm also interested learning about hunting in the area. I hunted on a regular basis in Minnesota, but never in the west. So if you need an extra hand at elk camp or whatever I'd be game.

NEW KUNA YOUTH FOOTBALL TEAM (kuna/nampa)

The Kuna Ducks are NOW accepting players for the upcoming 2010 spring football season. A new league has been started locally with a whole new look on youth football in the treasure valley area. Every team will be sporting a college team mascot. Boise state was taken so we are the oregon ducks. This league is for 12-14 year olds (if 11 can play up with parent consent form). I want serious players who are looking to get some extra football in before there summer programs and school leagues. We will be a very competitive team and would love for the parents of our athletes to be very involved in this team. I would like to see our team do very well and would love to see all the families involved in our players games and events.

REGISTER NOV. 2-6 FOR BOISE MEN’S & WOMEN’S BASKETBALL LEAGUES (City Recreation Office - 110 Scout Ln)

Teams are invited to register Nov. 2-6 for men’s and women’s basketball leagues coordinated by Boise Parks & Recreation

Teams will play 10 league games weekday evenings from Dec. 1-March 20 at Boise school district gymnasiums, including new junior high gyms.

The leagues are open to players age 16 and older. Men’s leagues include B1-B2 and age 40 & over; the women’s league is open to B & C teams.

Fees are $510 per team plus a $20 USSSA fee. Non-residents pay an additional $27.70. A $35 late registration will charged if openings are still available after Nov. 9-10.

All fees are due upon registration. Teams must submit rosters with players names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and resident player verification such as a current driver’s license, deposit slip, check stub or utility bill. To register, all teams must have a minimum of seven players.

Blank team rosters are available for downloading at www.cityofboise.org/parks.

Skilled football Players needed!

The Idaho Buccaneers are looking for a few skilled players (receivers and running backs) for our upcoming season! We have a few weeks before going to play in a Indoor football League, over in Utah (November 14th). We will be playing at the University of Utah. Players must be able to come in with their players fee, which is due to the Utah League by Oct 30th. The idaho Buccaneers is a new Minor League football team that will participate in this 8 man winter league and also participate in the 11 man outdoor league this spring. I will like to say, I do not treat this team as a rec team. So, all you serious players come on out!

Next practice Sunday 7am at South Midddle School. We parctice every weekend! Saturday's at Settlers Park (Meridian) (430pm) and at South Middle School (Nampa) (7am).
