Searching For Info On Jack Babcock-Nampa, ID D. 1967 (Idaho & Texas)
I located my biological mother 5 years ago who was from Nampa (my birthplace) but she unfortunately passed away last year. My biological father was Jack Babcock and he was apparently from the Nampa, ID area. He worked in Washington D.C. and was also in the Secret Service but was from the Nampa, ID area originally. They had a brief affair and she became pregnant with me. This would have occured in 1966-1967. Jack Babcock apparently took his own life in 1967 shortly after I was born and adopted by a loving family. I am searching for any information on Jack Babcock or his family as I was under the impression from my biological mother before she passed away that his family was still in the Nampa area. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much as this information really means alot to me so that I am able to put together a few missing pieces.

I need a "Bad Faith Insurance" Attorney
4 months ago I was in a car wreck. I did not get hurt. The reason I need attorney is because Liberty Mutual (the other insurers insurance company IE: lame) is dragging their feet on this claim. I called them the next day after the accident, they stated they would have some give me a call back within 24 hours. They never did. A month later I get a letter in the mail telling me this claim is still pending due to waiting for a police report? Come on! So I call again when I got this letter. Again someone will return my call in 24 hours on this. Takes them another month to call me back!!!! This time they questioned what happened at the wreck and then told me they would get back in touch with me.
Now mind you during this whole time, they never got me a rental car. I asked and that is when I was told they would return my call in 24 hours, in which they lied and did not call back. Not once did they ever send the insurance adjuster out to my house to come and get estimates of the damage on the car. They wanted me to take the car around to get some. When I explained how the car could not be driven because the hood was crinkled to the point it would not stay closed and how the grill, bumper was broke and how the car WAS NOT STREET LEGAL TO DRIVE they said "Oh we will send an adjuster out to come look at it." Lied again, they never did. Instead 2 weeks later they called and said they were sending a tow truck out to get the car to a auto body shop of my choosing since I could not drive it to Boise to have theirs fix it.
So we have them send it to one in Nampa. Liberty mutual the whole time has told me and my husband because I kept it on speaker phone so he could hear it too... that they are at 100% at fault and take 100% responsibility of the repairs of the car!!!! WRONG! THEY LIED AGAIN!!!!
They take it into the auto body shop. The repair shop then calls Liberty Mutual up tells them the whole break down of the damages. Total costs $2,600.00. So with that another week went by I get a call at 7:30 am on saturday morning, wanting me to verify my name, address and phone number. Phone number? They call me duh! Then they said we are sending you a check in the amount of $2,600 for the car to be fixed and it would be coming by UPS and we would have to sign for it. We thought wow they are finally doing something after 3 months of waiting for their lame butts! But wait!!!! A hour later they call and resend their offer!!!
Tell me now they will have to do some research to find out if the car is cheaper if they just do a total loss on the car. Now wait a minute. You offered me $2,600 for the car to be fixed now a hour later you want to change your mind? What is up with that? I tell them "Look the car belongs to my daughter who lives out of state. I was taking it in to get it serviced when your insurer decided she wanted to go across the street (in front of Taco Bell in Nampa) instead of making a RIGHT TURN ONLY (duh she was in that lane making her at fault) and wrecked my daughters car! So now my daughter is without a car STILL, I was without one because mine was in the shop getting repaired, Neighter did my daughter or I get a rental car and NOW YOU WANT TO RESEND THE OFFER?
They call me back 2 weeks ago with a so called offer! They called a dealer in Mt. Home, and one in Kamhi to get a estimate how much they thought the car was worth! I almost busted out laughing at them when they told me they are prepared to send me a check (now get this) of $469 if I keep the car, $500 if I let them have it!! WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO BUY A CAR FOR $469 THAT RAN AS GOOD AS THAT ONE DID UNTIL IT WAS WRECKED IN IDAHO OR WHERE MY DAUGHTER IS AT IN TEXAS?????? YOUR NOT!!!! GET REAL LIBERTY MUTUAL!!! They did not have any actual proof as to how they arrived at those figures other than the dealer said 1987's are going for around $500! MAYBE NONRUNNING THEY NEED TO CHECK CRAIGSLIST AND OTHER ADS! A good running car is selling for $1,000 or higher for the same year! They want to give me a joke of a check for the car? They sent me all the paperwork in hopes I would fall for this. Wanting me to send back the title and the keys and they would pay for the storage fees where it is at.
So with that I did my homework as well. I pulled a carfax. No problems with it in all the years it has been on the road it reports. Passed emissions every year. So I thought ok you want to call a dealer 8 hours away for your estimate? I pulled one from Portland, Oregon, one from Seattle, Washington, and a NADAGUIDE.COM . You know what I came up with on the 2 private ads from portland & seatle? When you divide the difference between the 2 came out the same as when I divided the same of the nadaguide from low book to average book price. So with that I wrote across their fancy little letter they sent me with the words REFUSE OFFER!!! And sent them all my paperwork to them and told them this is what I want. If they do not comply I will be forced to hire an attorney! 2 days later I get a very nasty rude voice mail from that insurance company! Telling me I have to now wait so they can figure out what they are going to do and did not appericate me REFUSING THEIR OFFER! Because it cost them $40 to send it to me and me send it back to them! 2 more days they send me a certified letter telling they are not going to pay for any more storage as of Nov 6th! I got the letter on the 7th! Go figure. So we end up having to go get the car from the repair yard. WHY SEND A TOW TRUCK OUT TO GET THE CAR TO GET THEIR ESTIMATES, HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED? BASCIALLY WASTING THEIR TIME AND MINE BY TAKING THE CAR FOR ME HAVE TO GO GET IT BACK????
I YET TO HEAR FROM THEM SINCE THE LETTER! No offers had been made on their part, they refused to pay for any more storage, and the car still needs to be repaired! I am sorry this is long but man oh man I am so mad beyond reality on this! This insurance company is a subsidze (spelling) of SAFECO! Should have known last time with an attorney took SAFECO 2 1/2 years to pay on that car wreck but I got badly injured in it. I didnt get injured in this one and they are dragging their feet through the cement!
I need an attorney who is willing to help us fight Liberty Mutal for payment and not no $469 or $500! The car is here at home and now the ball is in my court. They have to play by our rules and pay or get sued. I figured I have waited long enough now it is time to pay the piper. Oh get this they paid the insurer $3000 for their car within 30days! Their car was only 3 years newer than mine!!!! They did a total loss on their car (theirs was less wrecked than mine as well), they got to keep the car, do the repairs and got the $3000 out of it! Darn it I want this done and over with.
