It is in Playa Zancudo across the Golfo Dulce from the very popular Osa Peninsula. This is not a resort area. It is a quiet fishing village where common folks live and work. There are other North Americans that live there, but fortunately, no one has tried to turn it into a high-rise paradise! There are rarely many people on the beach. We swim many days where we are the only ones on the entire beach. The water is bathwater warm and very safe to swim in. Many areas of Costa Rica have rip tides, but this is one place that does not. If surfing is your thing, you only have to drive about 7 or 8 minutes to a great surfing beach. The world famous surfing beach of Pavones which has the 2nd largest left hand wave in the world is just 14 kilometers away! The house is also available for rent for $400 a week during the high season (Dec 15 through April 15th) or $300 a week the rest of the time.
