Seeking a place to FINALLY after 2 yrs call home.... (Nampa, Ada County, excluding Kuna - ONLY) $800

Family of 6 consisting of my husband, myself, our four children.



We also have a 4 legged family as well.



One is a miniature schnauzer/rat terrier mix named Pepper who is 14 years old, with not much time left on this earth. She is our eldest of four legged kidlets. She's an old girl who does nothing but go outside to use doggie facilities (haha translated she is trained), and lay on the floor on her blanket. She never barks, does NOT chew or dig. Kyle ( he is trained too) is the sweetest boy ever, at 4 years old, he is a Weiner/Chihuahua mix. He behaves much like Pepper, except he prefers his crate to rest and people watch in. With the door open of course!



Our other girls are Lucille Belle of the Ball - an all black snuggler kitty at 3 years old. She is far too dainty and prissy to do her business on the cold floor, she'd rather have her stuff done in the catbox. She is quite the refined and well mannered lady! Lastly we have Topaz, a one of a kind kitty! She is cream colored and white long haired little lover at 5 years old. She is quite the lady of grace herself, much like her partner in crime Lucy.



Some people have told us to get rid of our pets and we'd have a better chance at finding a place to live. Sorry, not happening. I wouldn't get rid of my children, why would I get rid of my pets? I wouldn't divorce my husband just because he did something minorly annoying, why would I get rid of my pets for convenience sake? Every pet we have ever had and currently were Craigslist rescues, we adopted them knowing full well it is a lifetime commitment. If we were to adopt a real baby, and some bad life altering circumstances happened again like a job loss, we couldn't for convenience sake get rid of our new baby, why should our four legged babies be any different?



Twenty six months ago we were sitting on top of the world, living the American dream, we had it all. After 2 injuries at work that were no fault of my husband, he lost his job to a 6 month lay-off. Worker's compensation nor his former employer paid those bills, so we were left to pay them - in the thousands! He got his job back, only to be permanently disfigured after a piece of machinery malfunctioned and nearly cut off his pinky finger on the right. Because of that injury (that they refused to take responsibility for or pay for), & because of the new union contract voted in, the employer wanted to get rid of all the workers making over $9.40 an hour. Of course my husband was left without a job after ten years of faithful non stop never missed a day service, at almost $18 an hour. Our home was a 5 bedroom 2 bath on a full acre of land, and was foreclosed on due to what I just described, & vehicles repossessed. We were homeless for 6 months, and by the grace of God himself we kept our family together, four legged babies included.



We met our current landlord in May of 2008. Through a pinch of prayer and steadfast faith, we found our current landlord. She, without a doubt; is the reason we are at this place in life we are currently in. To say it is a miracle she came into our life just when we needed a hand up, is the biggest understatement of the century. She is the best landlord/landlady I have ever rented from or known. Top notch lady, nothing but absolute class. If it weren't for her we would still be homeless to this day. It is far too bad she is my landlord because she is the kind of person everyone would want as their best friend.



Why do we need to move then, you ask? This house is only a 2 bedroom, at 718 square feet. It is simply too small for us right now. And since my husband finally has full-time employment at his job long term after being there working for them 18 months roughly, we feel it is the right time to move. We'd also prefer to go through a private owner than a property manager because we feel that better landlord/tenant relationships are built with being more than just an address with a word that is a name attached to it. Kind of like when some employment help services charge you a fee to help you find a job or find the job for you. I shouldn't have to pay a fee for that, why should I to find a place to live?



We have current copies of our credit reports, and background reports.



What are we seeking? A 3 bedroom, 1 or 2 bathroom, 2 car hopefully attached garage, that has air conditioning and electric or gas heat, and a fully fenced yard either in front or back hopefully in the back. Not much really. It doesn't even have to have a dishwasher, washer or dryer. If it did that would be a major plus! Looking for Ada County only excluding Kuna because it is just too far from work. We fully expect to pay a deposit for pets, general deposit, etc you know, the normal stuff. At this time, we are only wanting a house or mobile home on it's own land NOT in a park at all.

A little about my self.

I went to college for business for 3 years, and am a hardworking semi-professional. I have work already lined up for me when I get there working for Citi Financial as well.

I lived in Pocatello about 6 months ago, and was married for 2 years. I recently went through a hard divorce and moved back home to NC. But with the economic crisis in its current state, work is MUCH more abundant out west than here. My daughter lives alot closer to there also, being in Pocatello. So Meridian seemed like the logical choice considering I have work there, and its in Idaho, where I can see my daughter on the weekends with just a drive out there.

Im a very quiet and clean person, definately not the partier type, just looking for a place to rest my head and feet after a hard days work. I dont have a large budget as far as what I can spend a month, so im looking for something in the $250-$300 a month range. My plan before i thought to do this was just to stay in a hotel until I found my own place/had worked enough to afford one. The divorce took almost all I had, and its been grueling to pull myself back out of it.

Anyway enough about that. If you're looking for someone who will be quiet/clean/respectful then look no further.

There are other North Americans that live there, but fortunately, no one has tried to turn it into a high-rise paradise! There are rarely many people on the beach. We swim many days where we are the only ones on the entire beach. The water is bathwater warm and very safe to swim in. Many areas of Costa Rica have rip tides, but this is one place that does not. If surfing is your thing, you only have to drive about 7 or 8 minutes to a great surfing beach. The world famous surfing beach of Pavones which has the 2nd largest left hand wave in the world is just 14 kilometers away! The house is also available for rent for $400 a week during the high season (Dec 15 through April 15th) or $300 a week the rest of the time.
