Material Handlers (Boise, ID)
Kelly Services is currently looking for several Material Handlers for a long term temporary position. Candidate must have stability in work history.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately processing on-line transactions; receiving/ delivering / moving materials from point to point within the facility.
• Performing cycle counts, material labeling, stocking and repackaging
• Interfacing with customers, electronically track materials
• Release / order material from outside sources
• Taking orders and translating into electronic requests
• Answering questions for customers regarding inventory and material systems
• Operating material handling equipment
• Participating in quality improvement activities
• Utilizing on-line training materials including procedure manuals, checklists and scripts
Required:

This course explores the management skills, concepts, and information needed to administer a district-wide standards-based instructional and assessment program, with emphasis at the school principal level. This also includes the role of the administrator in supervising for change through the creation of an inclusive learning environment. The administrator’s responsibility in the auditing of content standards and corrective procedures based on assessment results will be covered in depth. The course will also include the various forms of standards-based assessment, both formative and summative, and how to lead organizations to align instruction with state assessments. Both the content and context of instruction and its effect on assessment results will be covered. The formal as well as the informal content of the instructional process and the leader’s responsibility to supervise for both is a critical component of creating inclusive learning environments. The effect of technology, articulation, and the role of the administrator in monitoring what is taught will be investigated as a means toward quality control.
Additional Required Qualifications Specific to this Course: possess leadership experiences successfully managing and implementing Idaho K-12 curriculum and assessment requirements.

While the principal’s role is the main focus, the course also examines district level issues such as personnel organization and school board policies.
Additional Required Qualifications Specific to this Position Opening: possess successful leadership experience at the school and district level with employment practices, contract management, state and federal employment laws/cases, and supervision and evaluation models with specific emphasis on Idaho models.

The University of Idaho, College of Education, Educational Leadership Program is seeking qualified Lecturers for the Master/Specialist Degree Meridian Idaho, Leadership Academy.
Responsibilities: Lecturers would teach one or more master degree courses required by the Educational Leadership program over the next two years. Enrollment varies, but generally does not exceed 25 students. All classes would be live, with online delivery used in a supporting role. The first class(es) begin in late January, 2010. All classes are held at schools in the Meridian School District. Required Qualifications: Lecturers must 1) be practicing school administrators at the school or district level, 2) possess a Master or Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership, 3) possess knowledge of Idaho's school administrator standards, 4) have prior university teaching experience or Project Leadership teaching experience, 5) be available to teach evenings in the Meridian, Idaho area, 6) be able to work cooperatively with Region 3 administrators, 7) be able to work cooperatively with the sponsoring district-Meridian, and 8) be able to work cooperatively with the University of Idaho Boise Educational Leadership faculty in developing and delivering the courses. Each course may have additional specific required qualifications. Please refer to the position details of each class for a detailed list of responsibilites and any additional qualifications.
