Wood-Burning Hot-Water Heating System (Purlear, NC) $1250

Up for sale is a wood-burning furnace box to be used to heat water for circulation as needed for a house, shop, or building heating system. It can be connected to a radiator and blower fan or a water-circulation and radiator system to provide a source of heat for the winter.

The exterior dimensions of the box are 49.5” deep, 49” high, and 97” wide. Although there is some slight surface rust on the box exterior, the unit has been stored inside a building and has never been exposed to the elements or hooked up to a water system.

Facing the front of the box, there are two 0.75” water pipe fittings, eight 0.75” threaded pipe openings, and a temperature gauge on the right side, a pressure relief valve on the upper right side of the front, and two 0.75” pipe openings on the top. I’m not sure what the two 0.75” pipe openings are for on the top, but the ones on the right side should be for water circulation through the heating area.

The firebox door opening is 18” x 18” and the firebox is 26” wide x 26” high x 29” deep, so it should hold a considerable amount of wood for all-day or all-night heating.

The unit was built by a metal fabrication shop for a house my family owned in the Wilkesboro area but the installation was never completed. It was never plumbed in and has never had a fire built in it. The construction is heavy-grade metal and it could be cleaned up and painted easily to look like new again.

It appears to be well insulated, which should reduce heat loss and keep the temperature of the exterior surface down. I do not have any of the pumps, piping, radiators, or any of the other equipment necessary for this to be a completed system. The sale is for the heating furnace box only.

The item is located in Purlear, NC … about 10 miles northwest of Wilkesboro near the Millers Creek area or 80 miles northwest of Charlotte … and the price is $1250 or the best reasonable offer. I drive a truck and can be reached via cell phone after 6:00pm on weekdays or anytime on Saturday or Sunday at 828-612-6309.

It is a heavy unit and is being sold AS-IS and WHERE-IS. It will need to be loaded onto a flatbed truck or trailer to be moved.

Three and a half foot ball python. Has never bit before. Comes with heating lamp 30 gallon tank and all accessories. Eats live rats but never fed in tank to avoid confusion of hand of owner or prey. Propane heater floor model (Elk park) $200

I have gt a floor mdek forced air propane heater has an upper and lower fan. It is 65,000 Btu in good condition. Just run a line to it and fire it up. This heater is about 10 years old but kept well maintained. The extra duct work does come off it was put on to run to several rooms.

20 gallon tank and accessories (Boone, NC) $80

20 gallon glass tank with thermometer and humidity gauge already in it. I have a heat emitter (it only produces heat, there is NO light) I've had it about 8 months, but it is supposed to last up to 5 years (I still have the box and receipt for it, it came from the Pet Place, so you can return it if it doesn't last long). I also have a heating pad attached to the bottom of it (can be removed), a corner water dish, log tunnel, and a tree-type thing in there as well. Also, it is floored with pet carpet that is only about a month old, if you want that too. I'm willing to separate any of this and just sell pieces if you don't want ALL of this, so feel free to ask any questions and I will be more than happy to send you some pictures.
