LOG CABIN BUILDING...ERECTING AND FINISH WORK... (BOONE / WILKES)

New log home dealer is looking for experienced people and/or crew. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing will also be needed. We are currently working with a General Contractor but are open to talking with GC's as well.

This is a very tough market as anyone who is looking at this will know, so our prices have to be very low to make this business work. If you're very busy with other work or not willing to adjust your pay for today’s market than this is probably not a good fit for you. However, if the idea of steady work could really help you please keep reading.

Our business motto is going to be "everyone must tighten their belts". Meaning, we are willing to make a small profit, our GC's and trades have to be willing adjust their incomes lower per job along with everyone involved. The reason for this is Buyer's are NOT going to pay retail right now.

What we're trying to accomplish is to build 5 to 8 cabins this year. We’re going to give the buyers a heck of the deal, and give the trades and laborers work for the rest of the year.

Our maintenance technicians play a key role in our success by maintaining all equipment in our plants. Be ready to be busy! Your day may be a combination of troubleshooting, repair work, and scheduling/ communicating to leadership. The following is a list of some of the areas that the position is responsible for: maintaining dock doors and levers, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, compressors, AC/DC motors/controls, and more. If you are skilled in the use of electrical equipment, welding, repair of mechanical equipment, forklift repair and general maintenance and have 2 + years of relevant maintenance experience, you may be a good fit! If you are a licensed electrician you may be a GREAT fit.
Responsibilities: Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair. Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required. Measure, marks and scribes dimensions and reference points on metal surfaces. Dismantles machine or equipment to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part. Replaces defective part with new part or repairs or reproduces part from various kinds of stock. Assembles and test operation of machines to verify correction of malfunction. Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment.
