The North Carolina Narrow Gauge museum is searching for any remaining boxcars or tank cars that might exist from the ET&WNC Railroad, also known as "Tweetsie". Fifteen wooden cars were given or sold to local folks when the narrow gauge railroad was abandoned in the early 1950's. Rumors of a tank to were said to exist around Brown Bros. construction on Hwy 421 as well.

Our mission is to find and restore these old cars before they rot and decay away forever.
