Looking to place my 5 year old Catahoula Leopard/Lab mix into a new home. Just moved to Boone recently and my work schedule makes for an unhappy dog. She's about 5 years old, in great health (maybe a little on the pudgy side), 85 pounds, up-to-date on all shots, and is extremely friendly and intelligent. Knows "sit" and "lay down" commands. She is mostly black with gray and white patches on her coat and has crystal blue eyes.

As stated above, my job requires me to work long and crazy hours and that makes it difficult to have a dog. She does great with cats but not other dogs. She needs to be placed with someone who is home a lot, who has small children (she loves kids) and preferably with a fenced-in backyard. I will NOT adopt her out to college students. My dog and I have moved three times in the last 6 months, and she needs stability.

The animals on this posting are on Death Row at Liberty County Animal Control. We only have very little time, often days, to find them new homes or no kill rescues to save their lives. We have personally interacted with each one of these animals. Our descriptions are straight forward! Our conscience would not allow us to hold anything back, and we would never give false information to save an animal, because it would only result in the animal being returned. You will never find vicious/dangerous animals on our listing! Usually, little or none is known about these animals' medical history. Thanks to micro chips, we do know that many of them are abandoned by military, which means they are most likely up-to-date on there shots,heart worm negative, and generally healthy; however, we cannot guarantee that, which is why each animal must receive prompt veterinary care after adoption/rescue takes place.

Spaying or neutering is a MUST!!! Local adopters MUST purchase a spay/neuter voucher from us, as well as a micro chip and Rabies shot. Spay vouchers are $70 and neuter vouchers are $60. The cost for the micro chip and Rabies shot is $10. (If an adopter chooses to use his/her own vet for the spay/neuter, we will gladly reimburse the voucher amount upon proof from the vet’s office.)

802-4539 – Poppy is a Chocolate Labrador/PBT mix.



Due to this mix of breeds, this gorgeous girl has a very unique color and what is called “ghost brindle.” In the shadows and low light she is black but when the sunlight reflects off her coat she has brindle coloring. It's so awesome to see! Poppy likes other dogs and currently shares her death-row cell with 2 others. Poppy also does not mind the company of kids. She has been tugged and pulled on to see how she reacts and that could be determined is that she is just as friendly and playful as can be! Poppy likes to play fetch and LOVES to give kisses. She appears to be a very healthy dog, judging by her coat, bowel movements, etc. She also does well on a leash.

He is still in the puppy stage and is no more than a year old. Prince does not mind kids but does not like his ears pulled, which is why he will only be adopted out to a family with kids 5 and above. He is BIG on kisses, LOVES to give kisses! He also loves to play fetch. His energy level is medium to high, which will go down some as he grows older – IF he is allowed to do so. One other thing to point out about Prince is his VERY soft fur! Moutain Curr Dogs make excellent protectors of the family. 803-2960 – Domino is an American Bulldog puppy.



He is all white, with just one dark spot on the nape of his tail. We believe he is deaf, which is not unusual for white dogs and by far not a reason to euthanize a dog. In fact, Domino already knows a hand signal – SIT! Domino is still very young. We estimate his age around 5-6 months. Due to this, he has all the puppy energy you can imagine. We noticed he does not like water much but one thing that stands out above all is the fact that Domino LOVES little kids!!! Pretty much all of his attention was directed at Leo, the toddler of one of the rescue volunteers, when he was in the exercise field. All Domino wanted to do was be near him and play with him. If Leo left the field he would sit at the gate and whine for him to come back. Domino would be great for a family with kids. He's a sweetheart!

Hello again good dog people of NC
this is a follow up to my original post made on Sat Nov 7
I am trying to find a good home for my pet dogs . I have been evicted from the house and the dogs are still on the property until the landlord calls
the pound . I dont why he didnt as he threatened or why he is forbidding me access to the yard to care for them while theyre there . He has threatened to call the sheriff if he sees me yet the dogs are still there , Thankfully . I go there when its dark to check on them and feed them but I need to clean up the yard as i have every day or 2 , 6 days is too much Iguess Ill have to risk being arrested for trespassing and do it today i cant stand for them being in a mess . these dogs need homes immediately . They need mite treatments and thats all I know about them as far as their needs for any medical concerns . they are beautiful good dogs . the 4 babies have been taken by a beautiful pet recuer .

Sweet tabby cat to good home (Lenoir)

I rescued this sweet boy from the side of the road in Winston-Salem on Saturday night. He is a beautiful orange tabby cat; my best guess puts him around two months old. I don't know about shots or anything, but I will say that he is well-behaved and litter trained. He was perfectly behaved for the 1.5 hour car ride, content to sit and snuggle with me.

I would love to keep him, but he doesn't get along with my other male cat (they got into a slight tiff). He seems to be timid/frightened around dogs, so he would probably do best in a home where he's either by himself or with another lady cat. I will be happy to send photos to any prospective adopters.
