We’re both in our twenties with education degrees and a combined 6 years of time in classrooms. Together, we have worked with students in grades 2 through 12, including special education students. We’re educated, well-traveled, enjoy working one-on-one or in small groups with kids and young adults, and have a wide variety of experiences and knowledge to pass along in many subjects.

Additionally, we have experience and tools which would be beneficial in light remodels, home improvements, and property maintenance. We have experience in other areas as well if you’d like to ask about something specific.

We’re both changing careers and intend to take classes at Harvard in the fall. However, we plan to move to the Cambridge area well before classes begin, in either December or January.

Is it possible that there’s a person or family who can offer private housing in exchange for or partial exchange for work that utilizes our skills? The specifics of the arrangement would largely depend upon the amount and type of work you would need from us and the housing being offered, but the more important place to start would likely be finding out if we’re a good fit for your situation.

We’re not interested in a room within a home (need some significant space of our own) or acting as full-time nannies. We’re both currently employed full-time, but have some flexibility within our schedules.

I envision a situation where we provide a couple of nights of tutoring per week, do a set number of hours of work on the home each month, and have an occasional day and/or evening of taking children to do something fun for them or childcare at the home. Some months ago, we hired a housekeeper. At first she was the bee's knees, but over time she started arriving later and later, until one day when she didn't show up at all. So now we need a new housekeeper.

What we're looking for in a housekeeper that you be thorough, reliable and punctual. We're also looking for someone who doesn't mind dogs as we have two medium sized friendly puppies. We'd also like you to be available for cleanings on Friday afternoons, but if you're not free then don't think of that as a disqualifier. Part-time, school year nanny for a 9 year old girl and a 7 year old boy. Position is every Wed and Thursday with the possibility of Fridays(if you are interested). Arrive at our home at 1pm, clean from 1-3pm(laundry, dusting, vacuuming, empty dishwasher,etc.(no windows or heavy lifting). We are very clean and tidy so you won't be entering a dump! At 3pm, you will get kids off the bus(in front of our home), feed them a health snack, supervise homework and occassionally drive them to after school activities. You will be finished at 5pm at the latest. All school holidays and the summer off(unless you'd like to continue cleaning one day per week). We are looking for someone to commmit to at least this year. Our ideal person would be able to commit to 2 years.

You should have a valid driver's license and a safe, reliable car. You must be extremely trust worthy, fun and energetic. You will be required to furnish references(3) and have a background check(CORI).

Compensation is $8-14 per hour depending upon experience. Bonuses can be worked out for the right person.
